I can’t express enough how grateful I am to Carmen at Carmen’s Beauty Salon. After struggling pretty badly with postpartum depression, I found myself in a place where taking care of myself — including something as simple as my hair — was nearly impossible. My hair had gotten to the point where it was completely dreaded, and I felt beyond embarrassed walking into a salon.
But from the moment I stepped into Carmen’s salon, all my worries melted away. Carmen treated me with such kindness and understanding, and not for a second did I feel judged. Instead, she made me feel safe and reassured. I was so overwhelmed with guilt and shame for letting myself get to this point, but Carmen’s warmth was exactly what I needed. She immediately made me feel comfortable, and her gentle support was truly priceless.
She not only worked magic on my hair — transforming it from a tangled mess into something beautiful — but she also took the time to listen to me and offer tips on managing life with a new baby. I was so touched when she shared advice on how to cope with the challenges I was facing, especially since I had little to no help at home. It was like having a friend guide me through a difficult time.
What truly set Carmen apart was her dedication. She stayed well past closing time to make sure I left feeling like myself again. It meant so much to me that she gave me her time and energy, especially knowing that it was outside of normal working hours. I was dealing with a lot of judgment from my family about the state of my hair, but Carmen never made me feel bad about it. She showed me nothing but compassion and professionalism.
Carmen is more than just a stylist — she’s a genuine, caring soul who truly makes a difference in her clients’ lives. I left her salon not only with gorgeous, refreshed hair but with a renewed sense of self-worth. I will be forever grateful for her kindness, and I’ll be recommending Carmen’s Beauty Salon to anyone in need of a little more than just a haircut. Mrs. Carmen is definitely a jewel and gifted in her craft. She took her time to provide my hair the full attention it was needed. She took care of my scalp and my scalp is clean like a brand new baby.

I do not recommend this establishment. She was rude, unprofessional and extremely rough. The cut wasn't well done and is frustratingly screwed up. She also repeatedly ignored my requests and preferences. Including but not limited to using heat after I asked many times for her not to. My hair was damaged from the level of heat and the amount of times she went over the same strands of hair. I am not one to leave a review but I hope to be the reason someone chooses NOT to go here.

We were in town for a wedding. My 7 year old granddaughter was a flower girl and needed to have her hair styled. Carmen was able to fit us in with short notice. She was patient with my grandaughter and took her time to style her hair perfectly for the wedding. We are so grateful to Carmen.

I usually never give online reviews, but this place deserve it! Carmen and her sister are amazing, not just on what they do but as a person. They give an amazing service and worry about what you want. In my case, I had a Brazilian Keratin and had plenty of question which Carmen had the patient to answer all of them. I love the Keratin so far, it hydrated my hair! It is not completely straight, but it looks so natural and great. I got so many compliments. The prices are right! I did not wanted to get the Keratin in other places because I knew they were charging me more than it really was. I hope to come back again. Thank you thank you thank you.
