My elderly parents live in Centreville, while I'm out in California, and as my father's dementia increased, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find the right kind of care to keep both him and Mom at home. But then I found Independent You. Independent You has been so terrific with finding the right carers, responding quickly to any problems, and working with me while I'm on the other side of the country, that I can't imagine how their service could be any better. We have been using Independent You for driving services for my husband on a weekly service for over a year. Both drivers are wonderful and have become friends with my husband. He looks forward to talking to them each day and discussing all sorts of things. They arrive on time and are helpful if he has difficulties getting in and out of the car. If we have had to change the schedule without too much notice they are accommodating and responsive. They have been a lifesaver for both of us since my husband stopped driving.

I hired them for transportation and home care for a period of less than two days. Positives: The nurses. They were punctual and gentle. Negatives: the administration. They are a real pain to deal with. They do not answer e-mails and do not give you an electronic record of the service you request. The administration made scheduling mistakes and tried to blame it for it. Dealing with them was very frustrating and time consuming.
