I am often in Italy, Mexico, Florida, California, NYC, or Spain getting a haircut. With all seriousness, Lisa gives an excellent cut. She is possibly the most consistent & talented barber I have experienced. I suppose she's had since childhood to learn from her father. And inherited the business from her grandfather. He founded Modern Barber in this very location, in 1933. Family operated ever since. A true piece of Virginia history, and very affordable!

I first went to this shop when I moved to Crozet in 1980 when the current owner’s father ran the shop. Now I live in New York but when visiting I will always time my haircut to need it when I am in Albemarle and make a point of going to Crozet. 44 years and never a bad haircut !!!!

This Barber shop has be cutting my hair sense I had hair to cut and my father started going there back in the 1960 and I feeling like I am part of the family when I go in there and now that I live in Louisa Va now I still make that hour drive to have Lisa cut my hair and catch of with everyone Thank you Lisa for the year of service
