Our experience working with McDougal was impeccable. They were kind, understanding, very empathetic in our needs, and incredibly helpful in guiding the “what comes next” conversations. They were patient and professional with working through our mother’s wishes. We will be working with them again to plan for our eventual passing and prevent some extra pain and difficulty on our children. Thank you, Michael, for all you did to help us in our time of need!
It is unfortunate when a family must deal with a funeral home. Someone close has been lost and not only are the feelings from that loss lingering, but there is also the duty to ensure the family member is treated respectfully. Our mom had a pre-need plan with McDougal’s for decades after they handled our dad shortly before. Upon her passing, I called McDougal’s as I had been instructed. From that point, they did yeoman’s work in contacting and working with the out-of-state funeral home that would prepare Mom for transport. We felt so cared for by all members of your staff! Your concern for our tender feelings was so evident in the way you treated us and handled every situation, from picking up the body of our loved one, to the interment. Thank you especially to Michael and Sundee, who had so much patience with us in our planning- your compassion was heaven sent! Even our limo driver was so kind and genuine.
