About Life Time
Life Time Sugarland is an athletic country club that offers a wide range of amenities for its members. The expansive fitness floor, unlimited studio classes, basketball courts, eucalyptus steam rooms, and indoor and outdoor pools cater to diverse fitness needs. Members can receive unlimited group training and individualized attention through Signature Memberships. The on-site Life Cafe provides a variety of food and beverage options, including a popular vegan peanut butter shake. The facility is well-maintained, with clean shower stalls, restrooms, and locker areas. The cafe is praised for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and good variety of food and drinks, with Teyiera, the cafe manager, often highlighted for her professionalism and respectful attitude. The front desk and trainers are also appreciated, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere. Some members note that the club could improve by offering more children's programs compared to other locations. Additionally, questions have been raised about the limited gym access for members on Medicare, who can only use the facilities between 9:30am-3:30pm, which seems to be an unusual restriction. Members also express disappointment over the recent increase in daily guest fees to $50, which is significantly higher than other national chains. Despite these concerns, overall, the club is highly recommended for its environment, management, and amenities.
I highly recommend Fabio Castro for assisted stretching and personal training at the Sugar Land location! I originally started working with him because of ongoing low back issues; his knowledge of anatomy, assisted stretching, and corrective exercises has made a tremendous positive difference!
Every session was more than just stretching. Fabio explained the purpose behind each exercise and helped me better understand how my body moves. That combination of hands-on treatment and education gave me confidence in my recovery.
Over the past several weeks, we also focused on strengthening my core and lower back. He challenged me in the best way, always respecting my limitations...read full review
I love my gym. Great classes front desk folks are great. I would stay stay away from the Pilates - there's an up charge and the staff and manager are kind of pushy about sales and not very good with customer service concerns.
I’ve been coming to this gym and never had an issue with anyone until I came across Erin. She’s rude and tries to implement her own rules how she sees fit. I’ve never been asked for my ID until Tony B decided to single me out in front of her so now she singles me out every time and asks for my ID and which she has never done before and tells me now it’s policy which I know is completely untrue. She likes to parade her so called “power” around and I know it’s just her because I know 2 other people that has had an issue with her also and reading the other reviews, we’re not the only ones that has issues at the front desk.
