Professional, clear, demanding, yet encouraging. Be happy the owners don't excel at every form of martial arts or their trophy cabinet would be an entire room and every studio would fear them. Beautiful community with concise expectations. We wouldn't want any other studio to train with. #LongLiveKoreaNorthAmericaTaekwondo

This school is so inspiring and friendly. Tiny children earning so fast that some are black belts!! The owners and masters are so personable and welcoming to everyone who comes in!

I started training at the Korea-America Taekwondo academy early 2018 when I was seven, almost eight. That was roughly eight years ago now. Mrs Kathleen Martinez is one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met, and I truly would not be who I am today without the Martinez family. One of my favorite things about Korea-America is that they don’t just teach the art. They make it a point to teach the students that taekwondo is not just cool moves, it’s a way of life. It’s about having integrity, kindness, confidence, respect.. the list goes on. The growth from practicing taekwondo does not stop when you leave the studio. Whether you or your child comes for three months or thirteen years, the material they learn at the Korea-America Taekwondo Academy will stay with them for the rest of their lives. I’ve been blessed enough to teach at the studio, and the list of things I’ve learned from the experiences I’ve had there is endless. Of course, I’m able to tell you this from personal experience, but even someone who’s only ever seen one class can tell you the Martinez family truly cares about every single student who sets foot in the school. Whether you’re looking for a place for yourself to grow as a person, or you’re looking for a place to help your child learn discipline and integrity in a safe, fun community, Korea-America is the perfect place for you.

Korea America Taekwondo Academy is truly a hidden gem and I am so grateful to have found it for my daughter. From the moment we stepped in, the environment has been nothing but friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. The lead instructor is not only strong and knowledgeable, but also deeply inspiring. You can tell right away that she cares about each student’s personal growth, both on and off the mat.
My daughter is 8, and since joining, she has shown so much growth, strength, and confidence. This academy isn’t just about self-defense — it’s about teaching core values like respect, discipline, perseverance, and community. They have helped her learn to speak for herself and act less timid. This dojo also helps positively influence students who struggle with ADHD or who have difficulties with focusing.
If you’re a parent looking for a safe, uplifting, and empowering place for your child to learn Taekwondo, I recommend Korea America Taekwondo Academy. It’s been an amazing part of our journey, and we feel lucky to be part of this dojo family.

We tried two other taekwondo schools, one was based in attendance, the other was not a good fit and then we did two trial classes at KATKD and I knew it was the perfect fit for my 10 yr old daughter. Its instructors are encouraging, the students are very supportive, and Ms.Martinez is amazing as a teacher and someone who genuinely cares for all her students from white belts up. Don’t just drive by, stop in for a class for sure.

I have been a member for 11 years now. The Martinez family is very family orientated. They strive to teach your kids not only Martial Arts but to be a better leader and person as a whole. Along with Olympic TKD there is a woman's fitness class and Kumdo which is the art of using a sword.
