Even though the providers are only PA’s they are invested in their clients. However, get ready to wait because they over book. The only reason I don’t switch providers is because I’ve been coming here for 2 years and I don’t feel like starting all over with a new provider. It’s annoying to have an appt at 9:30 and be seen an hour later. Every time I come I have to wait at least 30 mins. But one can’t be late or they cancel your appt. If you have a flexible schedule and live close by, this is a wonderful practice. For reference, my whole family comes here.

Hey there, folks! I just wanted to share my recent experience with this practice. Overall, I'd say it's a 3 out of 5 stars from me. Let me break down why.I had to get some lab work done, and knowing LabCorp's expertise in drawing blood, I decided to request that my orders be sent there. Unfortunately, my past encounters with blood draws at this office weren't exactly smooth sailing.I called in to ask the staff to send my orders to LabCorp. The staff member I spoke to seemed a bit short in her responses, leaving me unsure if she really understood what I was asking. Shawn was referred to me when I moved to San Antonio 2 years ago and I’ve been going to her ever since. What makes Shawn different from other providers is that she gets to the root of your issues with in-depth work ups. She’s personable and responsive and really came through for me when I needed to have immediate surgery. She wasted no time in getting me an MRI and referring me out to another physician to do my surgery. Her immediate action helped save one of my ovaries and I couldn’t be more thankful. Her front office staff and nurses know me by name and are always courteous and responsive. I highly recommend Deerwood Family Practice!
