Had a slight miscommunication when trying to schedule a follow up appointment and Sammy called me to touch base. She was so compassionate and tried everything to help accommodate my situation. So appreciative of her!

The care and medical staff interactions have been phenomenal here. However Gina G. At the front desk is horrible she's rude incompetent and agitated. I understand if she's new here but she should not be customer service facing. Someone might be here on the worst day of their lives then have to interact with this rude worker. Again the medical staff here is top notch.

I’m so pleased with the Rehab department. My dog has going through rehabilitation after a herniated disc surgery and the technician Nichole is simply amazing. She’s the one who works directly with my pet making sure that she’s safe, happy and getting her exercises done properly. Dr Sanudo is the one responsible for the department and I can’t be more grateful for her and her team for the great work they have put into my little princess.

They helped my dog with his pain and provided guidance on next steps after identifying a malign tumor. Cost was reasonable, they charged about $550 for an ultrasound, blood work, medicine and vet consultation. Then had to go again and they didn’t charge for a second consultation.

It’s been quite awhile since I took my dog here but every time it crosses my mind I get more frustrated and I think I should share it. My dog was experiencing what to me initially looked like constipation, we took him to our regular vet where they got a stool sample and asked us to collect a urine sample. I was trying to collect the sample and that’s when I realized, he couldn’t produce a stream of urine, only small, obviously painful, leaks. At that point it was 11pm. So I got my mom and we both took him to this emergency vet, we had checked in before 12am. They wanted to take him back to a room but due to his anxiety they let us go back with him. I think this is where they ended up apparently FORGETTING about us. I recall there being a triage sign with bladder leaks as top priority and we had waited a minimum of 3 hours. He had urinated all over the floor, the room reeked of ammonia. My fault for giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming there was a reason being seen took so long. I can’t believe no one checked on us, it took me walking out to the lobby a second time before a tech recognized me and said someone will check him in just a moment. Less than 5 minutes later a tech came in, took him back for scans and moved my mom and I to a clean room. He had an enlarged prostate which they diagnosed as a kidney stone causing the blockage, I can’t personally speak on if they’re original diagnosis was reasonable to assume. Anyway they drained his bladder with a catheter and sent us on our way by 6am. We had to put him down 6 days later since the prostate infection caused a serious uti, which led to kidney failure. I’m not sure how much he could’ve recovered if he was assessed differently during this visit so my review is less about that and more about how we were literally forgotten about… it’s worth noting they weren’t short staffed or necessarily busy, I only saw a few other patients. Cant think of other reason my boy had to lay in pain for so long. I wish I wrote this review sooner

Brought my dog in for bloating/stomach issues. I felt that what I paid for was not worth the care I received. One of the things recommended was bloodwork but it was never thoroughly explained to me & there was a lack of compassion as well. Took her to a hospital in Temple where they were able to quickly figure out what was wrong and resolved the issue. Do not recommend this place.

Absolutely horrible service.
My wife took our dog in this evening with puncture wounds on his neck from roughhousing at dog sitter for the past week and his shock collar punctured his neck ( complete accident dogs being dogs) after picking him up today and noticed it when we got home. The vet Lachlan Bannister walked jn and immediately started interrogating my wife and accusing her of abuse and saying the puncture was from “ long term use or it shorted out and melted all the way through his neck” which is infected and has no evidence of burns nor is the shock collar melted or has any puncture holes. He continued to berate her and left the room with her crying hysterically.
After they had her sign paperwork for them to do the needed procedure and she paid and telling her she could leave him overnight and come back to get him in the morning without extra fees they called after driving 45 minutes home and now are trying to extort extra money out of her after she already signed and was told by the staff she would not have to pay extra for overnight housing.
They have horrible service on all ends and we will never be bringing our animals there again or recommending this place to anyone.
Dr. Lachlan Bannister is a highly unprofessional and inappropriate veterinarian. He had blatant disrespect and highly unprofessional conduct w hile dealing with my wife who was extremely upset and emotionally distraught.
DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

TL;DR- pick a different hospital
Visited once, was forced to remove my cat from their care after multiple issues. Interesting that my original review was taken down after almost two years.
To recap the issues: my roommate had animals seen at this place and instead of having my animals under my name, they put them under my roommates name. My cat was seen for urinary blockage and instead of helping me with information the emergency vet available at 11pm was more interested in telling me about her animals. There was no communication any the status of my cat for almost 10 hours (because they instead texted my roommate at work), I had to call and was still not given any information. I let them know I would be transferring my cat to Heart of Texas for care and only then did I get further information about my cat. I was also forced to delay care for my cat because the head vet wanted to sit down and talk with me about my experience, when clearly there was urgency needed to move my cat. As an added bonus they removed the IV fluids but sent the IV pouch with me so they could still charge for it, knowing full well that the next hospital would not be able to use it.
