Had them come out to investigate why my AC unit suddenly stopped working. They immediately zeroed in on the age of the unit rather than isolating the problem and leaving it up to the homeowner to decide what to do to move forward. The visit turned into a sales pitch. The person that showed up sounded more like a salesman than a technician. Then to make things worse the person tried to say the problem was something that wasn't really the problem in hopes of selling a new system and I picked up on it immediately as not being an honest diagnosis. Beware of this 'hit and run' HVAC company operating throughout the north central Texas area ! On The Spot has REFUSED to honor their contract regarding parts and labor warranty on a Trane HVAC system they installed at my home on July 5. On The Spot was paid $10,000 for a complete HVAC system and a two year labor and 10 year parts warranty. Shortly after the installation the lead technician for On The Spot was sent to my home to assess banging noises coming from the unit when starting and shutting off. On July 19 the lead technician reported to me that the Trane AC unit could not be repaired and should be replaced.. The installer/dealer has refused to respond... read full review

We've had a long history with On The Spot, and after significant back and forth, I can say that this company (and specifically their owner Cody) is one of the most dishonest and unprofessional companies I've ever encountered. When our upstairs AC unit went out about 1.5 years ago, we got a quote from three different companies including On The Spot for a 4-ton Trane system. They ended up being the cheapest, so we went with them. Specifically on the quote, it calls out that we will receive a 4-ton Trane "comfort coil", as part of our 100% Trane system.
