Dr. Hicks has been taking care of Ginger since she was rescued by Doodle Dandy Rescue in January 2023. Within a few days of adopting Ginger in April 2023 she was due a couple of vaccinations. We decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Hicks since she was already familiar with her history which included anxiety. During that visit we saw how gentle, kind and loving Dr. Hicks was with Ginger and Ginger’s comfort with her and immediately knew we would continue to trust her taking care of our sweet girl going forward. Although BPAH is not close to us, it is well worth the drive to know Dr. Hicks and the entire BPAH team love their patients and provide the best care possible!

Every time we need to go to Breckenridge, they are able to get us in really quickly. The staff is so friendly and caring, from the front desk, to the techs, to the vets themselves. We have been going for years and will continue to do so. They truly care about the animals, they come first every time.

I cannot recommend Breckenridge Park Animal Hospital highly enough. Every member of their team has provided outstanding care for our family and our dogs, and we have consistently felt supported, informed, and respected throughout our experiences.

In particular, Dr. Hicks has gone truly above and beyond. She is an exceptionally ethical and professional veterinarian who combines evidence-based care with genuine empathy. Dr. Hicks took the time to check in on us often, explain options clearly, and ensure we felt confident and supported in every decision. Her compassion for both our pets and our family made an incredibly meaningful difference during difficult moments.

The other veterinarians at Breckenridge Vet were also wonderful to work with and each provided excellent care, kindness, and professionalism. It is clear this practice holds itself to a very high standard.

Breckenridge Park Animal Hospital has earned our highest recommendation, and we are deeply grateful for the care our dogs have received.

Dr. Hicks goes above and beyond to take care of our little Pomeranian. She spends lots of time talking with us and working out the best options, obviously doing her research beforehand. She clearly cares about him and his wellness

I’ve struggled on and off with this office since bringing my dog there for about a year.
After the most recent visit for my cat, I’ll never ever be coming back. The only positive is the front staff when I called to schedule an emergency appointment to get my cat looked at on Christmas Eve.
My appointment was scheduled at 11:30, I told them I would do my absolute best to be on time but I might be late or I’d be able to make it at all. I called to tell the office I was coming but I was late, 10ish minutes, and they said it was fine.
I get a call at 11:40, asking with attitude if I was coming or no and I told them I was three minutes away.

After getting there, getting checked in and taken back, a young girl came and got my cat saying the vet wants to see if he has a blockage.
He’s never had a blockage before and come to find out — he didn’t.
Aside from an examination fee ($83.99), I was never informed they would be doing a urine analysis ($80.99) or an ultrasound ($19.99).
Now, I’m fully aware that these exams would need to be done, however, a vet did not come and tell me about anything since taking my cat, a shady business practice.

Shanna Keshvari was the DVM that did come talk to me after doing exams.
Her “recommendation” was to drug up my cat, blood testing, and find him off to an ER.
While she went back to do get things ready, I called ER’s to get another appointment. She then came back and asked if I wanted to proceed and I said no because I was getting another appointment at a place that would actually help my cat. She then proceeded to pressure and insist and push to drug him when I kept saying no. Not because I didn’t want my cat to get better but because I wanted an actual solution and help.
She also said in the ultrasound they did that multiple bladder stones were found whereas the place where I got a second opinion, I was shown pictures and there was no proof of bladder stones. Another extremely worrying example of competence and professionalism.

Breckingridge and Shanna Keshvari’s lack of professionalism and care, especially during an emergency is extremely telling of what kind of business they run, how little they care, and how much they just want money.
With appointments between my dog and my cats first appointment being an emergency, my personal trust is nonexistent.
Their main goal is to make sure they can charge you for anything, even if you don’t need it.

I’m overly pleased I sought a second opinion at a more reputable office, was provided excellent care with compassion and kindness, and my cat had fully recovered with a CORRECT and ACCURATE diagnosis and professional recommendations without seeking unnecessary services or charging the most.

I work with the public in the area and will make sure Breckingridge is a place I never recommend.

Our first teeth cleaning! Mocha had seven extractions, Ozzy only the cleaning. The office staff was accommodating and the vet tech exceptional. Every step of their procedures was explained, questions answered and we were sent home with detailed instructions for follow up care and pain meds. Dr. Donnelly made contact the next day to check on her patients and we were able to discuss the re-integration issues we were having and I was given solid advice for resolution. I can not say enough good things about this practice, the vets, their techs and staff. They have created an oasis of calm and safety that the animals and their owners feel. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best care available for their fur babies.
