Been grateful enough to come here since I was in high school; 7 years straight. Dr. Ron Smith is amazing, sweet, and kind. He is always willing to explain your prescription as well. Best eye physician in Texas :)

I have been wearing glasses since the 6th grade (argh) and I am almost 68, so I have seen a whole lot of optometrists. I have used an opthalmologist at Baylor for the last 3 exams. Dr. Smith actually did the exam himself, including the various machines, dilating my eyes and using the flip/flip test (which is the best). Frankly, I had forgotten what it is like to have the actual doctor do these tests. It is way, way better than having a "tech" perform the entire exam and the doctor walk in at the end of the exam to "confirm" their findings. Went for an eye check up a few days ago and saw Dr. Smith. He really took his time and explained all procedures. It actually was very thorough. The staff was nice and office was clean. After examination I decided to update my glasses and lenses. Prices were very good and it seemed the quality of eye wear offered were of solid brands. I should get my new glasses in a week or so. The mall firms can probably compete with frames and lenses, but it felt nice to patronize a local family owned business. Definately will be back when it's time for my next examination.
