Dr. Reno is a ROCK STAR!!🀩 We love her and her team! Our Chocolate Lab, Delaney, has always been so well taken care of-particularly in surgery!! That is always the scary part, but Doc Reno is excellent, and always follows up to see if your baby is doing ok. Also, when we lost one of our little dogs, she was so compassionate-sending a beautiful card with our dog’s footprint. We highly recommend Virginia Parkway Pet Hospital! We use Virginia Parkway not only for our rescues, but our personal dogs and cats as well. We are so grateful to have a dedicated team of Veterinarians to take care of our animals.

Virginia Parkway Pet hospital has been awesome to both me and my Boxer puppy Dozer. They are polite and professional and address any needs that I have very quickly. They have an app that helps remind me of any of Dozers needs and I can communicate with them through the app as well. I even had a bit of an emergency just hours after taking Dozer in for a check up. He was bitten by another dog I was able to contact them and Susan had me come right in to check on Dozer and did not even charge me. They really care about you and your pet. I would highly recommend them.

We have been going to VPPH for over 5 years and have always received excellent care for our dogs and cats. The front office staff are very friendly, welcoming, and always remember our pets' names and give them special attention for their initial intake. They even remember which exam rooms not to take us too because of our previous furbabies that we had to make difficult decisions for. The staff always work well with MEVC when some of our furbabies had to been seen for emergency services. The on-going care plans were communicated well and worked with us to ensure that we could easily continue options with at home administered medications. Dr. Reno is fantastic along with the rest of the vets, techs, and office staff. Your furbabies will receive excellent well care and preventative services and a fantastic team of referred experts for more complicated conditions.

Updated review based on the response from the pet hospital:
Why would a vet need to approve a product that can be bought on Amazon??
Your response is an attempt to smooth over what I said. I was not asked what size dog I had and what size treats I needed. I was not told no vets were available. What I was told was since my dog was not a patient of theirs I could not buy the treats there.
I would suggest you all come up w friendlier policies that encourage people to bring their pets to you, not discourage.
    β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
Made it a point to stop by to buy a bag of Lean Treats for my dog and unbelievably, they said they would only sell them to clients.
Well, guess what? I just moved to the area and I’m sure not going to look to them for future pet help.
Ridiculous, a five dollar bag of treats lost them in a client that could have brought in thousands.

I’ve been going to Virginia Parkway Pet Hospital since Dr Reno took over the practice about 10 years ago. Dr Reno has cared for our English and French Bulldogs and given them outstanding care. Our little Frenchie has an on-going medical issue which has been very challenging to diagnose, manage and care for but Dr Reno has been tireless in her pursuit to help her and to offer treatment options. Dr Reno is very knowledgeable, spends as much time as you’d like explaining what’s going on with your pet and truly cares for your pet. Het office staff is friendly and helpful, particularly Rachel. I can not recommend her more. Five stars!

I've been taking my four dogs to Virginia Parkway for many years. I've been happy with the service there and appreciated how attentive the doctors are during appointments. At one point, I started taking my dogs elsewhere out of personal convenience. During an exam at the other clinic, we noticed my boxer had what appeared to be a mass on one of her back toes. The doctor did a needle aspirate, but the results were inconclusive- she recommended we amputate her toe since she had had one mast cell tumor previously. This seemed extreme so I brought my boxer back to Virginia Parkway for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Pena and Dr. Reno noticed that she was walking a bit off and this was putting extra pressure on that toe. They did additional diagnostics suspecting that her toe was merely inflamed. Sure enough, the results came back with inflammatory cells, and no mast cells. She had changed her walk due arthritis pain and that resulted in her toe becoming swollen. We got her on pain medications and her walk corrected and her toe returned to normal. Because they did a thorough physical and didn't just focus on my complaint without looking at the whole picture, we were spared an unnecessary surgery. I wouldn't choose any other clinic as their primary clinic, no matter the convenience. I also think it's worth mentioning that Virginia Parkway does a lot of work with a large rescue, so they see a lot of unique health cases. I think this helps contribute to the doctors' experience and knowledge, and then those experiences benefit my dogs when they present with something unusual (which they have unfortunately). Dr. Reno also has a great working relationship with specialists in the Dallas area- I know this because my dogs have also had to have specialized surgeries and have been seen by an internal medicine specialist that she referred us to. I would recommend Virginia Parkway Pet Hospital to anyone in McKinney. I know sometimes there is a wait but that's true of any clinic nowadays, and if it's not an emergency, the doctors at Virginia Parkway are worth waiting for. They typically do the exams in the treatment area since they are already back there to get samples, which some people may not like but I think it helps with getting a more thorough physical exam and the doctor always goes over their exam findings when they bring my dogs back. We've had experience with Dr. Reno, Dr. Pena, and Dr. Studdard and I would be happy to have any of them treat my dogs.
