I initially left a 1-star review because I was disappointed that this gym prohibits chalk, which was never disclosed during the sign-up process. As someone who primarily trains for strength, that policy significantly impacts my training, and I felt it was fair to share my experience.
After posting my review, I arrived for my workout and discovered my membership would no longer allow me to enter the facility. When I spoke with staff, I was told I needed to contact the owner specifically regarding my 1-star review before I would be allowed back into the gym.
I found this extremely concerning. I paid for a monthly membership and was denied access after leaving an honest review. Whether a business agrees with customer feedback or not, members should be able to express their experiences without losing access to a service they’ve already paid for.
The facility itself is clean and has good equipment, but how a business responds to criticism says just as much as the equipment it provides. In my experience, negative feedback was met by restricting my access and requiring me to discuss my review with the owner before I could continue using my membership.
I hope this policy changes because customers should never feel pressured to modify or remove an honest review in order to use a membership they’ve paid for.

I love this place its great! All the employees are so friendly and love to stop for a chat. They keep this place very clean; there’s never any dust or chalk on the machines like other places I’ve been to.

I joined this gym expecting it to be a serious training facility, but I was disappointed to learn that gym chalk is not permitted. As someone focused on strength training, this is an important tool for both performance and grip safety.
What was most frustrating was that this policy was not clearly communicated during the sign-up process. Had I known beforehand, I likely would have chosen a different gym.
The facility itself is clean and well-equipped, but I believe policies that significantly impact certain styles of training should be disclosed upfront so prospective members can make informed decisions.

I was in the area for a week and can’t say enough great things about this gym. Clean, good working and plentiful machines, clean shower/bathrooms and very friendly, helpful staff. And all for a super price! Well done. I’ll see you on my next visit!

Fieldhouse is hands down one of the best gyms in the area. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and has a great variety of equipment for both strength training and cardio. Whether you’re just starting out or training seriously, there’s something here for everyone.
The atmosphere is motivating but not intimidating. The staff is friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about the members. I also appreciate how organized everything is — from the workout areas to the locker rooms.
If you’re looking for a gym that supports your fitness goals in a positive environment, Fieldhouse is a great choice. Highly recommend!
