About The Yoga Institute Clear Lake
The Yoga Institute Clear Lake is a highly recommended yoga studio that offers restorative and strengthening classes. The studio is clean and the owner/instructor is invested in her students, providing a personal and supportive environment. This studio is particularly beneficial for those recovering from injuries, as the instructors are knowledgeable and accommodating, providing modifications and adjustments as needed. One satisfied student started classes in January 2023 after a car accident left them with limited mobility and herniated discs in their neck and back. They found the beginners series to be invaluable for learning correct alignment and making sure they didn't injure themselves or aggravate their discs. The instructors were attentive and provided modifications, encouraging them to try full poses when they were ready. The student was able to build up to attending at least three classes a week and has seen significant improvement in their mobility and pain levels. The studio offers a variety of classes during the mornings and evenings, and the instructors encourage a sense of community and pride in showing up on one's mat. The student appreciated the focus on stability in the poses and the use of props. They also enjoyed the reflective conversations that often occurred at the beginning of class. Overall, the Yoga Institute Clear Lake is a welcoming and supportive studio that is particularly well-suited for those looking to improve their practice or recover from injuries. The small class sizes, knowledgeable instructors, and sense of community make it a special place to practice yoga.
I have been a member of the Yoga Institute for four months, and I am so happy to have found this studio. My experience with yoga classes has typically been either very basic, or so challenging it’s not remotely approachable for someone with an on again, off again practice (me… until now!). I have enjoyed every class and love the feeling of getting stronger and more confident in my practice. I also love that the small-ish size classes in the evenings allow for personalization and more opportunities to ask questions. It’s a casual, cozy vibe, and I love it.
I love the studio and instructors. I feel welcome, calm and alive before, during and after class. I especially enjoy the morning yoga classes but they offer classes all day. I have been going regularly or over 3 years and I highly recommend. It really helps me be at peace, and improves not only my mindset but my soul.
My husband and I have been attending classes at The Yoga Institute for about 2 years. We are both more physically fit and flexible because of our practice. The best part of this journey is the community of practioners that Kathryn Day has brought together. If you are looking for a place that meets you where you are and encourages your growth on your time, this is your place.
