I hired BackUp Electric to add an interlock to my home so that I can use a portable generator for power. They assessed my old breaker box and replaced it with an upgrade along with the interlock for a very affordable and fair price. It was thousands less than other options and it works like a charm! The electricians were very professional and knowledgeable of the work which they did and they explained everything done and the purpose. Upon completion of the job they tested the systems and gave me a brief and easy training on how to utilize my generator during an outage. Very happy customer here!!!

Finishing up the kitchen from the February Freeze a year or so ago, we called in another electrician to fix a couple of issues that cropped up - two switched that stopped working. They looked at the old box, and told us everything needed to be updated, gave us a couple of option $5200 or $6800. I called Backup Electric. The Backup Electric electrician came out, and I repeated the history. He made a call to the owner who asked if the light switch worked before the cabinets went in. Turns out it is a common problem since the screws for the cabinets are long. So for fixing this, and swapping out 220 circuit breaker for a 110 circuit breaker, I paid $240.
