Been getting my hair cut here for 30 years … am I satisfied yep that’s a long time to not be !! Kem is my stylist and the rest of the crew are incredible as well !!

I hate having to leave these type of reviews. But I feel that new clients need to know the truth rather than the opinions of all the owners friends. Kem had done mine and my daughters hair a few times. And we liked her work, and her pricing. But everytime we had an appointment she was always late, or had to reschedule. But we continued to see it thru as we have super thick hair. And she was always quick at doing it, and didn’t charge $300. But very frustrating when you show up for an appointment and are told by the other people in her salon that she’s running late bc she’s at the auction. We’ve been told that MANY of times. My aunt uses Kem religiously. And as a birthday gift my aunt PAID Kem in advance for my daughter to have her hair cut and colored the morning of her senior prom. I called Kem and scheduled the appointment, and my aunt had already paid her. Come appointment time we show up and Kem isn’t there. And the ladies that work in her salon said “Kem had something come up and wouldn’t be coming in today!” Wait what? PROM MORNING when we had an appointment. No call to let us know? Nope! I reached out to Kem SEVERAL times by text message and calling her cell phone. No response. In fact I didn’t get a response until THE NEXT DAY! And she said she forgot to write my daughters appointment down. I understand that things happen. But seemed like every appointment “something came up” and she was late, and now not showing at all on the day of my daughters LAST PROM! So I kindly asked the ladies that work in her salon if they would be able to help us out since Kem was already paid, and apparently won’t be here for my daughters appointment. Bc my daughter still needed her hair cut and colored for prom. My thoughts were I could either pay it, and Kem could pay me back. Or Kem could pay her co workers back. I mean they are a team right? Well NO! Both ladies knew the situation and were not willing to help us out at all. It was just a dead end. “Sorry”. Mind you I still hadn’t heard from Kem come the night of prom. I didn’t hear her excuse until the day after via text message. Anyways, I said I wouldn’t go back bc she made that situation stressful when it didn’t need to be. Luckily I found a great stylist at JC Pennys that saved the day and took care of my daughters needs for prom. But of course I had to pay for it even tho Kem had already been paid. My aunt and Kem worked it out that she had now just pre paid for her own services. So many months have gone by. And I decided I want to use Kem for my own needs and I will just forgive what she’s done bc again she did my hair so well for a good price. I reached out on a Friday to see if she had any appointments the following week. No response. Okay, so I reached back out on Monday, no response. Again, I reached out on Tuesday, no response. So even tho I should be the one upset with her lack of care, professionalism etc. Apparebtly she’s more upset than I am and she’s the one that has messed up time and time again. There are too many stylist for me to continue to waste my time. I’ll pay the extra money for my hair to be done, and treated like a real client. But because of the no response after I gave her another chance after the complete lack of professionalism. I feel the right thing to do is leave an HONEST review of what we’ve been thru with her company. Customer service is obviously not her strong suit. If you have time to sit and wait for her to arrive, or have a very flexible schedule, then she’s still your girl. Bc she does great work. But if you don’t have time for all of that I would say move past her and find someone else. Her partner there, Lori has also done my hair once. And I didn’t go back to her bc her skill isn’t great. She was to do highlights on me. And the top of my head looked like a leopard. My highlights were bleeding onto my brown strands at the roots. But I’m sure it was hard to see the top of my head and see what she was doing when she was SITTING on a chair doing my hair! Never seen this before. This was my experience, hope yours
