The Deal 2 Deal Custom Homes team recently built us a custom home on our lot and we are very happy with the end result. The build was completed on schedule and within budget, which was a huge relief. They were extremely professional and communicative before, during, and after the build. Their adherence to timelines and responsiveness to concerns were commendable. We highly recommend them to anyone in need of a builder and would choose them again if future needs arise.

We moved to El Paso about a year ago and were ready to buy a house and make El Paso our home. We heard a lot of good stuff about Deal2Deal and decided to bite the bullet and buy one of their expensive $715K home in Cimarron Canyon. The house was a spec home and meant to be a model home but they decided to sell it. When we walked through the house, it was about 90% done. We liked the location and the space. Delton assured the appraisal should come at the listed price if not higher. Contract and deposit of $35K was all done by 8/21/23.As they started to wrap up the finishing work, we noticed few patchy dry walls, big gap around the wooden post by the entry way, crooked cabinet by the refrigerator etc. We pointed them out and Delton was willing to fix it. When we went back to check the fix, they had covered up all the imperfection and gaps with trim and caulk. It didn't look right. The mirror and lights did not look like they belonged to $715K home. When we pointed it out, Lucinda was offended. And lastly the appraisal came $29K lower. Lucinda was appalled and contested it which she has every right to do so but the adjusted appraisal still came $15K lower. At this point because of failure to perform the last 10% as promised and a bitter realization that the house is overpriced we wanted to terminate the contract. Now they are refusing to refund our deposit stating the contract states that it is nonrefundable for any reason. They are claiming that we costed them potential buyer because they removed the listing after we signed the contract. (The listing is still online as pending)We have been trying to terminate the contract since 9/7/23. We are getting railroaded to buy a house that we initially fell in love and wanted it to be our dream home but quickly turned into a living nightmare. There is no reasonable explanation for them to keep our deposit of $35k. We didn't cost them any money. They completed the whole house per their plan.Update 9/28/23: We were unable to get our refund but they lowered the price to meet us halfway. Since we have no other choice, we moved forward with the new sales price. We did the inspection and a walk through. They fixed the findings from promptly( some were sloppy, pic for illustration) but there was a lot of cosmetic issues. Took three times to fix them. Yet we are still finding nails popping, goopy textures, missing paints, things not leveled, missing caulk or over use of caulk everywhere. ?For now we are ready close this chapter and fix the rest of the house on our own. This has been the most horrible experience of our life.Be careful and do your research.Thank you!Service: Home building

This are unedited photos of an actual brand new (2022) Deal 2 Deal home built on my street. The roof looks like a surfer's paradise. Looks like they forgot to plan to vent through the roof (see PVC through side wall). Looks like they spray painted plumbing vent around flashing. No support in the driveway concrete; it's already falling apart and it's a disaster waiting to happen. Imagine backing off of a driveway with a 12-18" drop ... Or stepping off it in the dark. They didn't even do stone facade well; look at the corners; I've seen better work on big-box stores in El Paso. No gutters. Buyer beware. Garbage. I wouldn't trust this company to build a shed for my rusty tools.

As a construction specialist, I must concede, that the practices and standards this home builder implements is of top quality. The care and attention applied to every individual home, in my humble opinion, is second to none. You receive a "home", not just a house.

Lucinda and Delton Deal are the most amazing people. We purchased one of their 2021 Parade of Homes, and they made the entire process so easy, and were great to work with. They are very quick to respond to texts, and phone calls. Lucinda has the most amazing talent designing, and Delton is hilarious and brilliant at what we does. They build quality homes. We can’t wait to raise our growing family in one of their homes. We couldn’t give Deal 2 Deal Homes enough praises.
