Minor Emergency of Denton, owned by Dr. Andrew J. Blankenau, is a walk-in and urgent care facility that has been serving the Denton community for over a decade. They provide affordable and quality healthcare, open 7 days a week with no appointment necessary. Patients can expect in-house X-ray capabilities, highly-knowledgeable staff, and certified screening and testing capabilities with an in-house laboratory. One patient had a positive experience with the medical staff, describing them as "absolutely fantastic" with an "excellent bedside manner." However, another patient had a different experience. Despite feeling unwell, the patient was not prescribed antibiotics and felt that the patient care and understanding were declining. It's important to note that the patient had to pay out of pocket as they had non-PPO insurance. A third patient had a typical DOT physical and was in and out within an hour. However, they had to stay a little longer due to trying to get their CPAP usage sent to the facility. It's recommended to come prepared if using a CPAP machine. Minor Emergency of Denton accepts Office Visit Copay (OVC) instead of ER or Urgent Care copay, saving patients money. However, patients are advised to check their insurance coverage before visiting.
