The Houston Garden Center was spectacular. The staff made themselves available to address not only the plants on the premises; they also addressed some plants that I inquired about that were not on the property. The next time we visit Houston we will definitely return to the Garden.
The selection of native plants and trees is very slim. They have lots of Asian imports, but not a whole lot of Texas native plants. The website lists lots of options that were not available at the Cypress location. They are also expensive.
All the trayed flower plants appeared root bound. Good quality trays of flowers are available at Home Depot with a guarantee. Poor quality flower plants at Houston Garden with no workable guarantee. Prices are about the same.
