Service Cuts Barbershop & Hair Salon - Converse

We recently brought our son in for his first visit, and overall the shop had a really welcoming atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, and we appreciated how kind the team was to us when we arrived.
Unfortunately, the haircut didn’t turn out as expected. The cut wasn’t blended well and looked uneven, with both sides noticeably different. There was also an area at the back of his neck where hair was left longer while the section above it was cut much shorter, making it look inconsistent.
The appointment took about an hour and a half for what was supposed to be a basic boys haircut, and during the process it seemed like the barber may have been struggling a bit (under the influence).
We ended up having to go somewhere else right afterward to get the cut corrected.
I’m sharing this feedback because I believe in supporting local businesses and hope this helps improve future experiences. The shop itself has a great vibe and friendly staff, so I do think there’s potential for a better outcome.

Marcus did a great job, he got me all cleaned up looking fresh as hell really grateful for him his talent and skills. It really shows in every haircut and the time he takes with every client.

Yani always does a great job and is very easy to interact with. She has amazing skills and her beard line ups are worth the extra charge. I highly recommend her and this location.

The barber was wonderful! He worked so well with my son who has adhd and autism. This gentleman was so patient, I swear he could sense my husband and my anxiety or something cuz he was quick with helping out and putting my son at ease. Turning on a show while making my son feel seen and not ignoring him and his echolalia. This is the 3rd haircut my son has had in his 7years of life due to sensory needs and emotional delays, but today he handled it like a champ, thanks to your help! My son said you were the coolest! Will definitely be returning again! I highly recommend this shop!
