I want to start by saying I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Katie Hilla. She is a wonderful doctor and owner, and I truly value the care she provides. However, my experience with the front desk today was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I arrived early and was waiting right in front of the door before the clinic even opened. The front desk staff member was fully aware of who was there first—she even made direct eye contact with us in our vehicles when she came out to take the trash. I just want to say I love this place! From the moment you walk in I have always been received with a welcome. Pauline is such a pleasure to work with even when my spoiled little one Sage attempts to be a handful. From the front desk signing in to the actual visit going over whatever process for my dog these ladies are a rare jewel. Thank you for always being able to assist me whether in person or over the phone with any questions or concerns I may have regarding Sage. ???
Bottom line: reasonably priced without skimping on quality.
Longer story: Not so sure about their name. When I first saw their storefront before we had a pet, I thought why that name? It conjures up pain. After we brought home a cat, we found out the crazy high prices of vet visits and vaccines in Austin (rabies can't be given by a vet tech and no one seems to offer shot clinics like we had in CA), I started wondering how anyone could afford a pet. Started looking around and Prickly Pear seemed to be too good to be true. But, we vaccinated our cat there and had a very good experience with kind and knowledgeable people.
