Lone Star Circle of Care at Ben White Health Clinic – Family Medicine

After over a week, I still have no answers. I'm pretty sure they lost my x-rays. After being on hold for 21 minutes yesterday, they hung up on me and didn't call back. Any damage with reference to the concerns that I expressed and they pretty much ignored is now probably permanent. If leadership sees this, I just want a referral to the doctor who has received my x-rays and called first thing yesterday.

This place is AWFUL!!!!!!!!! I took a sick-day to get medical care and they cancelled my appointment then called me back and rescheduled for virtual for the same day, then called back and cancelled it again. I lost a whole sick-day waiting on them and did not get seen. Also, they take forever to answer the phone, you stay on hold for over 30+ minutes and their representatives don’t know their own procedures so you keep getting canceled and rescheduled. It is not fair to do this to people. The 2 great nurse-practitioners they had, left to work somewhere else. GO ELSEWHERE, trust me! They are terrible!

I have been coming to this office for 9 years now.

Sarah Dillard is the only reason I was tolerant of this space .: she always listened to my needs and helped me and other patients by researching stuff that you were interested in doing with your body if she didn’t know she would look it up. After she left, I had a horrific experience with the male physician and MD that this entire practice is under. He withheld medicines from me that I had been on for about eight years. At that point, and I went into almost a severe coma like state from being off of my thyroid medicines. It was probably one of the worst experiences of my entire life. I’ve never had a doctor treat me like that in my life and then from being pulled off my medicines it disrupted my entire body and I blew up into an infection state and got a severe abscess in my leg, and a severe infection, and he shamed me and spoke down to me the entire time. After my abscess was cut open by him, and I was treated initially. I went back in to get the Medical gauze changed out, and some girl was there from the Bastrop office, and she never told me when to take a deep breath before she was going to just start digging into my open wound. She never stopped a single time or went slow so I could tolerate it : she just dug into my wound over and over She refused to give me any sort of numbing medicine, or any sort of lidocaine on the area for pain. She also yelled at me and demeaned me, and when I told her it was too painful, and I needed a break and I started crying. She threw her hands in the air and walked out of the room. She never came back in, she kept her gloves off the entire treatment time by the way. When I asked her about that she said “this isn’t my office I don’t know where he keeps anything we’re all lucky I’m here”. She then had her assistant, who I believe was not even an actual nurse ???change the gauze for me because she refused to do it. That assistant was awesome and sweet and it didn’t even hurt: She was the only one at the office that day, so I was forced to have to actually use her, but I left the office in the worst pain of my life feeling completely humiliated, and like I was just abused by medical healthcare and medical personal/ doctors . when I filed a complaint and spoke with the manager this girl called me personally, from what appeared to be a cell phone, and tried to put me in my place and speak to me aggressively about it, I refused to speak with her. I got transferred to the other physicians assistant that is there now just so I can get my blood work done here with the Lone Star Circle Of Care being as they are the only ones that take map in south Austin. I have to do my bloodwork every 3 months due to my severe thyroid condition: I wish it wasn’t the case. This place is really demonic. I want to add , I love the front desk gal upstairs with glasses she’s so sweet and always had the best nails: Alllso, I love the girl who takes my blood. She’s amazing!!! the phlebotomist !!! and I really love my new physicians assistant who I got transferred to Katie. I just don’t ever want to walk to the hallway and ever see that doctor that ruined my life for the last 7 months, my body still hasn’t bounced back from him pulling me off all of my medicines and questioning why I was on certain meds for my thyroid after finally finding one that worked for me After 8 years with Sarah Dillard: This is such a ridiculous story that it has taken me months to post this because I really wasn’t even sure how I was going to word this much less how much I even wanted to talk about it. Enough time has passed now that I feel somewhat comfortable speaking a little more on it I still have to get my blood work done here every three months, so I definitely don’t want to upset anybody and I’m cringing as I write this but at the same time this is my health and this is my body. If there’s any other place you can go to and if you have better insurance please don’t go here. Oh also, I really like Dorothy P. she’s my behavioral health counselor. Some good folks mixed

Love everyone at this location. Jorge, Blake, Cassandra and the staff has literally saved my life on multiple occasions.
Highly recommend this location.

They never have quick appointments available.. and they never talk soon to give the results

Came in for my 11am appointment 5 minutes late and the receptionist CANCELLED my appointment. When I tried to tell her that I was late because of the rain she didn’t care! Dr. Sisson is the best and I’ve been a lscc client for a long time but seeing how poor the reception is, might just choose somewhere else.

My Doctor Kristen Paige is the best she goes above and beyond to make sure that my medications are on point and that I am doing well at my visits
