The doctors and staff at Hooves and Paws were great when our Wyndham had to have surgery. I wouldn't take her anywhere else!

The hardest part of owning an animal is having to play God and make the decision to give them a first class ticket to heaven. Yesterday, I had to do that for my 18 year old 12 pound Welch Corgi Toy Aussie mix, Milli. My experience at Hooves and Paws was absolutely incredible. Even though Milli’s primary vet, Dr. Lensey Watson, is out on maternity leave, she was there for my daughter and me via text from the time of Milli’s diagnosis at noon to them allowing me to take Milli to McDonalds for her favorite last meal which was a double cheeseburger, a McChicken sandwich, some french fries and a few bites of vanilla ice cream, and finally to me carrying her while my 9 year old daughter and I took all three of our dogs on their last walk together before driving back to the clinic. Dr. Wuensche, the vet techs, and the front desk staff were so patient, kind, compassionate, supportive and understanding. Dr. Wuensche took his time and explained to my 9 year old daughter what each step was and how it would effect Milli, and he expressed to her that he wished he could fix her but that this was the right decision and the right time. Dr. Wuensche asked if my daughter was okay throughout the entire process and gave her a hug once Milli crossed over the rainbow. It’s never easy. It’s hard and it sucks, but it was the most amazing experience for my daughter and me. I wouldn’t trust any other vet clinic other than Hooves and Paws pet hospital to help a family or animal through this difficult time. 10/10 highly recommended.

I brought my fur baby here since he was 11 weeks old and he is about to turn 10 years old. They have been amazing up until my interaction with Stephanie yesterday. I set up a payment plan due to the cost of surgery to remove a mast cell tumor. They were to deduct a payment twice in December. I get a call from Stephanie who delivered nothing but an attitude from the time I answered the phone. When asked to run a payment I questioned why this wasn't done per the payment plan, her attitude became worse and I was then asked when she can run a payment. I informed at the moment I didn't know, I was at work at the time. She then proceeded to ask me where is the money that I had set aside for the surgery. I did inform her that my financial state was none of her business and how dare she ask me a question like that. She then proceeded to tell me that if I do not pay I will be sent to collections and then she immediately hung up on me. I called back and I spoke to the sweetest lady I believe her name was Alex and asked to speak to the office manager. The office manager was out at the moment but was returning that afternoon so I proceeded to tell the young lady that I would be up there to speak with Jess in person. I arrived at 3:30 and was immediately taken to a room to speak with Jess invoiced my issues in my concerns. On top of that all of my personal credit card information was wrote down on a form and kept on file which is a violation and goes against PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) You legally cannot keep somebody's full card information on file in paper form or in your operating system. So this does open up a very large concern of possibly my information being compromised and abused. If it was not for my fur baby having to go through injections for his tumor I absolutely would not return or ever do business here again all because of how I was approached yesterday and treated by Stephanie.
I did speak with Jess yesterday in person, she was very understanding of the situation and compassionate to my interaction with Stephanie. She did assure me this will be addressed accordingly! I appreciate her being so kind and helpful.

Everyone is always very nice and knowledgeable, and I feel like they really do care about our pets. The one complaint I would have is nobody ever called me when my dog was done with surgery and I had to call up there. Then the lady they put on the phone said that she just left me a voicemail, I never got a voicemail so I don’t know what number she was calling, but I put my phone number on the paperwork when I checked my dog in for surgery.

New patient exam was reasonable, staff was amazing! However, do not go if you’re looking for reasonably prices procedures. A small cyst removal for a 14lb cat and a spay for a 30lb dog was priced close to the same and over 1k. I’ve never heard of a spay costing over 1k and I’ve had many animals and been to many vets! I know some of the costs on the estimate was “optional” but seeing over 1k on a spay was just insane to me. Love and appreciate the staff, they were really helpful, just prices are not practical for care.

Great staff. Made us feel welcomed. The medical staff took time to explain evening and addresses all our questions. The place was very clean and organized. They were very central with my puppy and made him feel comfortable throughout the appointment.
