The waiting sucks but they’ll get you in and out and the Doc is a professional.

I have never left a review before, but even a day later I am still just in awe of how wonderful my experience was at this place and with “ Dr. Whitney” . I have been putting off going to see anyone for years, and when I would get the courage up to go the appointments would be MONTHS out and I would chicken out. I called this place on Wednesday and they offered me a same day appointment , but opted for Friday. My anxiety was thru the roof, when I arrived I was immediately put to ease…I didn’t catch the tech or nurses name but she was amazing too. These two ladies literally changed my life in a matter of minutes, they took care of an issue I was so nervous about sharing, like it was nothing. Thank you so much to this place, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend choosing Knoxville Dermatology Associates for all your skin care issues!!!

I’m not usually one to leave reviews in general, but this office has been incredibly frustrating. I had an appointment last week for which I was 7 minutes late for due to the terrible parking situation provided. I drove around multiple garages for 30 minutes looking for a spot. I get there and am taken back. Blake Childress was great. He was very understanding and I felt heard. His communication was very clear and I had a great visit with him. His nurse was also as sweet as pie. I did, however, get a voicemail later that day asking me to come pick up a lab order they had forgotten to give me. I have attempted to call 5 times, and the two times they have called me back, they left a voicemail. My phone did not ring at all. They are incredibly difficult to get in touch with and I’d just like to speak with someone from their office. Not to be a pain, but it’s really not my fault their office forgot to give me my lab order at my appointment, and with me being a full time grad student, I do not have the time in my schedule to stop by their office to pick up a lab order that their responsibility to give me. Have I forgotten it, that would be one thing and I would be happy to pick up the lab order. However, it wasn’t my fault, and it’s quite a drive for me.

The care itself was okay but it's absolutely impossible to reach them on the phone. I have called 3 days in a row and their phone system will put you on an endless wait. There is no way they are that busy.

If you use the call-back option, they will call you back but your phone will not ring and there will simply be a voicemail. I don't know how that works but this is endlessly frustrating. I would just go into the office but the parking is an absolute nightmare.

I can't contact these people and I really need to.

Please stay away from this place. I had the worst medical care ever on my life. My skin was infected and I needed an antibiotic and I couldn't get one from them to save my life. Now, thanks to no decent treatment from them, I have been on oral antibiotics for a month. DO NOT GO THERE!!

I never really leave a review unless I have something legitimate to say. Long story short , their communication needs work. I have been trying to get my medicine for the last two weeks. At first, it’s seem like they had everything under control. Like I said in the beginning, everyone had great communication. But then when it came down to actually receiving my meds I needed my nurse to call in my prescription so I can order it because I get it through a specialty pharmacy.

No one has given me a call or follow up. I had to take off work to come to the office to ask what was going on. I really appreciate the lady in the front who help me I believe her name was Lydia and the lady who keeps answering my phone calls, I believe her name is Latavia. Other than that this has not been a great experience. I had to transfer doctors because this one is closer to where I live. If you having to do the same, make sure you read the reviews!

I’ve gone there a few times until recently. I had a spot that needed a biopsy. I was told if all was normal, I’d receive a letter in a week or two. I was left a voicemail three days later (Thursday) by some woman named Nancy saying she wanted to discuss the results. I called back immediately and never heard from them until the following Monday and that was only because I called. Horrible patient care to have to sit on that all weekend not knowing my results and they seemed not to care at all. I will never go back.

If possible I would give them a 0 rating. We went in person with our Insurance card. Nurse told us they take our Insurance and it’s only a 10 copay. So we booked an appointment a month later. After seeing the PA which was so brief. They asked us for our copay. No problem. Now we find out they were out of Network. My insurance will not pay for service. We were lied to twice that they took our insurance. It’s now in our Insurance appeals dept. Sent 3 emails to billing and office manager and no response. The worst experience ever, please stay away. They lie and tell you insurance is accepted.
