CastleRock Communities: This is truly a 'I would give ZERO stars' if I could. Worst customer 'service' I ever experienced.
There were many issues with my new home. I was advised to report any issues during the warranty period and they would take care of it. LOL!
CastleRock does not honor their warranty. They will postpone and postpone and postpone repairs - probably hoping you'll give up. If they actually perform a repair it will likely be shoddy and worse than before.
I simply requested the repair for the many issues I have with my NEW home. Some were addressed, but many weren't.
I was shuffled from one person to another. I was told to contact 'Butch'. Not much progress. I was then contacted by 'Gordon'. He passed me off to 'Ken'.
My driveway looks AWFUL. Scaly and discolored. After MONTHS off arguing, they finally applied some kind of 'coating'. They applied it too thin and it's peeling off.
I asked MANY times what they used. CastleRock REFUSES to tell me what they used.
They PROMISED to repair the warped aluminum trim on my porch. That was MONTHS ago. I was given excuse after excuse why nobody is showing up to fix it.
Find another builder. CastleRock will not be there to honor your 'warranty'.

I hired my own inspection. The company did take care of all issues. We have two sink holes in the back area. It took three of us neighbors, approximately two years, to get a berm put in so I no longer have six inches of standing water in the back yard. After three years in our home we are beginning to experiment some grout issues. And leaking water. Yes we have to pay for it but just wanted all to know, get your own inspection. We do like our home though.

We have had such an amazing experience with building our home Donna from the start helping us get things picked how we wanted with loads of knowledge and Caleb as we started building (builder) super friendly and understanding. Super nice people, very professional, and down to earth. They are both a great asset to the company. —Courtney and Michael

Our home is still under construction, and we live 3 hours away, but Jamie has been wonderful! she sends us updates on the house each week, photos and even video tours as the work progresses. Our builder, Caleb, has met with us via FaceTime and in person. We are really happy with the personal attention they have shown us. We can't wait to move into our new home!

The Jones Company is TERRIBLE to work with. Would not recommend to my enemy. After getting your money, you are stuck with the bad service that comes with this name. If Pat is your builder, stay away. I do NOT have one straight wall in my house. My floors are unleveled. I had a crack in a wall at move in. Other issues that were identified and never addressed or corrected. STAY AWAY from JONES COMPANY.. Bad Business!!

If youre considering building with the Jones company, don’t. About a month ago we noticed our floor was buckling. We called Jones about a possible leak, when they came out they found that the dishwasher they installed, was installed improperly and was dumping water into our subfloor and crawl space. After assessing damages, the floor, cabinets, and counters all would need to be taken out and replaced. In addition, we would need to relocate due to mold and loss of use to our kitchen. We have a newborn and a 1.5 year old and simply can’t risk them being exposed to mold, not to mention we wouldn’t have a working kitchen for months. They initially took ownership and said they would take care of damages. They took the dishwasher out, brought in a plumber, had mold remediation come out, scheduled the cabinet and granite companies to come out and then suddenly stopped all work and said they would no longer be moving forward on the project. Once they realized how bad the damages were and the amount of repairs they would need to do they pulled out and stated we’re out of warranty. Leaving us with tens of thousands of dollars in damages. Bottom line this was their mistake. This has been going on for well over 6-8+ months according to their super intendant if not longer and should be taken care of by them. We’ve lived in this home a little over a year and are having to completely demo our entire kitchen due to their mistake. If you want to waste money and live in a home where they cut corners every chance they can get, then Jones is the company for you.Service: Custom home design

Very, very disappointed. Moved in to find out that I could NOT get internet to my new home for weeks. They never had the professionalism to mention that detail to me. I work from home, my daughter has school work and my husband has an online business. They duped me!Service: Home building

Once they have your money, good luck. Bring your own realtor. They will be your only advocate. The Jones Co's. in-house sales team (while friendly) have no power over the company and will do you no favors when it comes to any hiccups or problems. Their lending partnerships incentives can also most likely be matched. Again; HAVE YOUR OWN REAL ESTATE AGENT if you are dealing with this builder. They are cheap and all about cutting corners. Our house build quality is "Okay". We do have neighbors with nightmare stories. We have our own that I will not share. The Jones rep responsible has since been fired. If you are local to your build area, stay on top of the manager in charge of your build. Ask tons of questions and visit A LOT. I wish we could have (we were out of state). We've had to redo our ENTIRE landscaping (sod, shrubs, trees) due to lack of soil preparation and embarrisingly bad planting practices. Our neighbor had his sod laid directly over empty plastic water bottles. The subcontractos they hire are obviously on the cheap and Jones isn't on top of them. Make sure your build manager is. As stated by another new community buyer; the construction zone has been a nightmare. We expected it to be bad, but nearly 2 years in they have yet to surface our poorly graded street which after each rain turns into a muddy lake at it's lowest point (our only access). The mud and construction runoff are simply out of control. . We begged them to change the construction entrance to the unoccupied part of our subdivision. It was only after the on-site Jones employees trucks were getting pounded by the same silt and dust that our home was that that changed. Prior to that, dump trucks and subcontractors were careening up and down our streets at ridiculous speeds We have many small children in our neighborhood and some parents took it upon themselves to physically stop the vehicles and demand that they slow down. Lots of cheap builders special finishes: Switches, switchplates, PAINT. vanities, toilets. Did i mention PAINT? The concrete work througout our developement is mostly terrible. This company is so bad that in a newer section of our development, they laid driveways and sidewalks in front of a section of homes that didn't have utilities running to them yet. Under normal building practices this would have been a costly mistake, but I'm sure Jones Co. still came out ahead with it's cheap hiring standards. Good luck.
