This clinic charges excessively above market rate. • Spay: nearly triple the market rate. • Visit Deposits: also nearly triple the market rate.
When our Rottweiler lightly injured her paw, we called to schedule an appointment. The receptionist initially said there was plenty of availability — until we mentioned how the injury occurred. At that point, we were told we’d need to pay an extra $250 “emergency” fee, even though they had multiple same-day appointments available.
We declined the upcharge and scheduled a normal appointment. Shortly after, the veterinarian left a voicemail insisting we come in an hour earlier, warning that waiting could be “incredibly dangerous” — a statement that felt more like pressure than medical necessity.
In short: this clinic operates with inflated pricing and questionable urgency tactics. You’ll receive better value and care by choosing another veterinarian who prioritizes your pet’s wellbeing over profit.

Best Vet we have ever used. Dr. Holtzclaw is very knowledgeable. He treats our dog with respect. Always on time answers all questions outstanding practice. Everyone is friendly. Knows our dogs name. Cannot say enough good things about this practice

Tony Holtzclaw nearly decapitated my cat and sent it for a rabies check because this vet either doesn't understand how the law applies when a client's cat is not up to date on his rabies vaccine, and bites the client (while trying to escape the confines of a carrier.) Or, Holtzclaw is something out of a Stephen King book, and simply enjoys decapitating animals. I was able to leave Valley Walk, with my cat in tact, when Holtzclaw decided to 'cut me a break', as long as I quarantined the cat fot 10 days. I later learned that 10 days in quarantine was the standard protocol for a cat or dog that bites its owner. The fact that Holtzclaw was salivating to chop my cat's head off, and stated repeatedly that this was his intention, leaves me mystified as to how he maintains licensed to treat animals.

I have been a client for years. I took my 9 week old puppy in yesterday and the service was less than desirable. The last time I was in the office was in February of this year when we had to have our 12 year old dog put to sleep…so even going into the office was hard for me. I expected great customer service and a caring staff. I got neither. No one welcomed us. No one acted like they wanted us to be there. With my new puppy, I had a lot of questions but the doctor was very rushed and opening the door mid conversation to leave. They seem to have a lot of turn over with their staff as well. When I visit a business for a service they provide it is nice to see the same friendly people each time so we can build a relationship with trust. I didn’t get that during this visit.
