I brought my dog here with life threatening low heart rate episodes and instead of referring me to a specialist or prescribing medication to help they said they would need to preform test after test until they got a diagnosis witch could cost tens of thousands of dollars with no promises Now I know they were using my sick dog and my emotions to drain every dime out of me they could because I brought him to Nemasket Veterinarian and he didn’t charge me anything to tell me what he thought and referred me to a specialist which immediately they prescribed life-saving medicine without any diagnosis

They were able to squeeze my Dakota in when I thought he was having a hard time breathing from chewing on rib bones. They were friendly from the minute I walked through the door. There was no backlash from giving Dakota the bone, there was only concern for helping Dakota.

The staff is so welcoming and nice. They make me feel incredibly comfortable when I have questions and treat my babies so well. They always take what is normally a stressful experience for me and my puppies and make it calming, welcoming, and simple. I am so blessed to have found this vet and can’t imagine more trusting, capable people to work with my babies.

I brought my dog, Molly, here the morning after an urgent care visit for stroke-like symptoms, as instructed. I was deeply concerned her sudden vestibular symptoms (constant nystagmus, loss of balance, inability to walk, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, disorientation) were related to an American dog tick bite weeks earlier — all classic signs of RMSF.
Dr. Pignatello repeatedly dismissed this, insisting the tick bite and symptoms were “purely coincidental” and that Molly only had “old dog syndrome.” I was told a tick panel was unnecessary and would only be sent to “ease my mind.” Despite my concerns, no treatment was started.
The NC State tick panel took an entire month to return — confirming Molly did have RMSF, a potentially fatal disease. During that month, Molly suffered without treatment. She couldn’t walk, needed to be hand-fed and supported to use the bathroom, and had nonstop nystagmus for weeks.
Due to delayed treatment, Molly required two full rounds of doxycycline after we switched vets, as the disease relapsed. Early treatment gives a high chance of recovery — delayed treatment causes relapses, organ damage, and can be fatal.
I should never have had to argue with a veterinarian or push for testing to save my dog’s life. Molly was not “just old” — she was sick. We switched practices, and she is now fully recovered. Molly deserved better. Please take your pets elsewhere — your concerns will not be heard here.
Edit to respond: I was a week and a half short of a month, not that it makes this any more acceptable. The practice we switched to had my other dog’s RMSF tick panel results back in two days (tested her as well to be sure after positive RMSF diagnosis for Molly.) why was your panel so delayed?
When Dr. Pignatello called four days later, I specifically stated that Molly was not improving: she still had difficulty walking and eating, persistent nystagmus, and was not herself. I did not say she was showing significant improvement, because she wasn’t.
What’s also missing is that I was initially told a tick panel was unnecessary and not recommended — it was only offered to “ease my mind,” because RMSF was not believed to be a possibility. Molly did have RMSF — a potentially fatal disease. Missing that diagnosis is a serious failure.
I should never have had to argue with a veterinarian or push for testing to diagnose my own pet. I brought her in to be properly examined and treated, and instead was repeatedly told why she “couldn’t” have RMSF — when that was exactly what she had.

They are beyond compassionate. We had to put our family dog down. I went in my wife’s place. My wife and children are grateful for the respect you gave to Kingsley. I am beyond grateful for you all.

My family and I had an amazing experience at this clinic tonight. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, patient, and genuinely caring. Everyone in the lobby greeted us and our pup with warm, welcoming smiles. The vet went above and beyond, she was incredibly thorough, explained everything clearly and left the floor open to any questions. We did not leave feeling judged, or stupid for any of the questions we asked. Her and her tech treated my dog with such kindness and compassion, we were genuinely shocked by the response as we have had some bad vet experiences in the past. This was the complete opposite; I truly felt my dog was in the best hands. Even my dog was at ease, which is not common for him around strangers.
They took the time to answer all my questions, didn’t rush through anything, and made sure I left feeling confident about my dog’s care plan. The level of attention and professionalism was outstanding and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. We will definitely be back with our pups in the future.
The pricing was entirely reasonable, and we left feeling like we got the best bang for our buck!
I’m so grateful for the care we received tonight. If you’re looking for a vet who treats your pet like family, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Flowertown has always been so super nice and so sweet to me and my 4 legged kiddos over the years. They have been there for me through good times and sad times. I really love them.
