I found the Truesdale Medical Center for PrEP care and STI testing after having consistent, terrible experiences at the Ryan White office in West Ashley. I am SO happy to have found this medical office. I have had 4 appts so far, and every single appt has been wonderful. Each person whom I've encountered has been friendly, helpful, engaging, and efficient. I have never waited for more than 5 min to be called into my exam room. And have had no appt take longer than 30min, start to finish. It's usually more like 20min. I cannot emphasize enough how friendly everybody I've encountered at this office to be. I had an outstanding experience here. Nurse Trevor is incredibly knowledgeable and actually listens. No talking over me, no dismissing my concerns, and no brushing off the research I came in with. That alone sets him apart. It’s clear he genuinely cares, and I received a thorough, full checkup that made me feel steady and taken seriously.
I was nervous walking in, but that disappeared fast. Trevor was kind, patient, and grounded, and every member of the team I interacted with was welcoming and respectful. The whole space felt supportive instead of clinical and cold, which matters more than people realize.
