I was told that I was not a good candidate for sclerotherapy...that it would be better to do a thermal ablation to close my saphenous vein which was very dilated...because if I made the choice to do the sclerotherapy, I would have needed several sessions of sclerosant, which was not advantageous for me .... given the estimated costs and the technique of ablation which I did not feel too comfortable. ..I let it go...but I went to see another doctor for a 2nd opinion and today with only one sclerotherapy treatment my saphenous vein is well closed and moreover at a much lower price than the thermal ablation
