I want to thank Dr. Kiser for neutering my male cat Mochi last year and now doing a dental with a few extractions on my female cat Alli Jane (AJ). AJ is recovering well so far like it never happened! Their prices did go up a bit, but the cost was still reasonable overall.

I have been a client at Pittsburgh Spay & Vaccination since 1996. Over the years, I've had multiple pets that have always been seen at this practice. I currently have 4 dogs who are seen routinely and are given year-round preventative medications for flea/tick and heartworms. Ever since Dr. Wiles retired and sold the practice, the only priority for this practice is money. I can't get a prescription for heartworm preventives without a test being done first. This is gouging at its finest. I called to ask why my prescription was denied and was screamed at and hung up on when I said that they are all about the money.
Prior to Dr. Wiles retirement, I loved this practice and encouraged so many people to go there over the years. It's a shame that corporate greed has ruined the reputation that Dr. Wiles worked so hard to achieve.
I will be taking my 4 dogs to another veterinary clinic who cares more about the health and wellbeing of my dogs than they do about their pockets.

I have always loved this place for years. Dr. Wiles had always treated my Shepherds. Since Dr. Wiles has left it's not the same. The techs and office people are nice but my recent vet experience was not what they once were. I have a German Shepherd. She has never biten anyone in her life. My last appt left me stressed. I brought her in for treatment. The vet did not even attempt to pet her or make friends with her. She asked me when she was born? In 19 I replied. Immediately went to covid dog, which they are unsocialized. I know everyone defends their fur animals. But this was out of line. Dr. Wiles used to get on the floor with her and interact. She is around young children daily and she is known.all over the neighborhood by Name. Yes, she does not like her nails clipped. But she has never bitten, only uses her strength and pulls away. Dr. Wiles only prescribed trazadone and Gabapentin for nail cutting. Now I have to do it for all appointments. I recently had rotator cuff surgery. I only gave her 3 trazadones. I was told she needed the gabapentin. I would of had to carry a 70lb dog. It sedates her too much. She made me muzzle her for her Hotspot appt. I've never muzzled her in my life. But I agreed since I could see the breed upsets her
Walking in as a customer is like an effort at this practice for me. So disheartening. I would like to acknowledge the techs. They did all the work and deserve the recognition. The office personnel was also very nice. I will reach out to Vetcor. For the vet, If you're not a fan of German Shepherds maybe the job isn't for you.

The staff at this place. They are compassionate and take the time to make sure they do the the best they can to try to figure out me whats is wrong with your pet. Then, once they do this or suspect what is wrong, they write a treatment plan and make sure you understand the plan before you leave.
