Wonderful doctor. See him intermittently for years

This place is poorly managed and admin does not embody the values the center portrays. Stressed and erratic management trickles down to patient care, unfortunately. They have the terrible habit of ghosting current and would be clients.

I sought treatment at Healing Arts Center to support IVF as they came recommended by my fertility clinic. I regularly saw Steve, but also saw Julie and other providers at Healing Arts. They provided care through 5 egg retrievals and 2 transfers which ultimately led to two successful pregnancies and my 2 beautiful children. I have so much value for the quality of care from Healing Arts that I continued to see them through my first trimester and prior to delivery, even though I had since moved out of Philly. Highly recommend! Thank you Steve and Healing Arts!

Had my first session today with Julie Schwartz and it was wonderful. This was my first experience with acupuncture and Julie spent a long time before beginning with a friendly, informative chat. Vanessa at the front desk couldn't have been nicer and the Center's app makes it easy to manage appointments. Recommend highly.

Be *very* careful if you are using insurance. I was given wrong information by Healing Arts staff multiple times and they took no responsibility for their mistakes. Specifically, I was assured multiple times that my insurance would be billed, and I did not find out there was a problem with my insurance until 7+ sessions later, when I noticed that Healing Arts had not actually billed my insurance as they had said they would. They never informed me of this themselves; I had to proactively reach out to Healing Arts to find out there was any problem. In addition to that major issue, there were several other issues with miscommunication and lack of communication regarding both my insurance and my treatment. To add insult to injury, the office manager was a nightmare to deal with, subjecting me to the most kafkaesque phone conversation of my life, where she interrupted me, raised her voice, and would not respond to my most basic questions about why I wasn't timely notified there was an insurance issue. Steve (the owner and my former acupuncturist), would not even discuss my concerns with me, even though he apparently has time to respond to negative Yelp reviews... As far as the actual acupuncture, I liked Julie and Jamie, but I did not find Steve to be particularly attentive or thorough. All in all, whatever good the acupuncture may have done was negated by the stress of dealing with the billing mistakes and the dehumanizing and condescending way I was treated by the office manager. Based on how I was treated, I stopped coming, and I would not recommend others to patronize this business. UPDATE in response to the owner's response: The owner wrote this response without ever speaking to me about my concerns, despite my requesting to speak with him multiple times. I highly value my integrity. Of course I never requested Healing Arts to commit insurance fraud, and it is clear from my review that my concern was the carelessness and miscommunication of the Healing Arts staff, essentially misleading me for weeks and treating me under false pretenses, and then refusing to take responsibility. The implication of the owner's response--that I requested Healing Arts to commit insurance fraud or that the only way to resolve my concerns would have been for Healing Arts to commit insurance fraud--is simply false. His response is a great example of the kind of insulting and kafkaesque treatment you can expect from Healing Arts if they make any mistakes: they will refuse to take responsibility and the owner will falsely accuse *you* of wrongdoing without even taking the time to discuss your concerns with you.

I don't know how I have not reviewed this place before. I've been going to healing arts center for more than 2 years now. I started going there when I was undergoing my first IVF treatment and have continued through pregnancy. I've mostly seen Steve and I've seen Julie a couple of times and I can say both of them are great. They take their time listening to your issues and help you with treatment options to make life go easier. I always come back so relaxed. If you're seeing Steve, know that he is extremely knowledgeable about protocols of western medicine and he works very closely with a lot of fertility clinics in the area. It's always good to have a holistic provider in your team when you're going through the stressful time of fertility treatments.

I struggled to get pregnant for over two years and sought out treatment at the Healing Arts Center as a kind of last ditch,"why not?" effort after working with western fertility docs for six months. I have a thyroid disorder, had a very irregular menstrual cycle and was looking to address the root cause of the issue. Heather was kind, communicative, and most of all effective! I worked with her weekly for three months and combined TCM herbs with acupuncture, My period regulated within two months and BAM - I got pregnant! I am now 28 weeks and have continued seeking periodic acupuncture with Heather. Look no further if you're seeking a compassionate, effective alternative or complement to western fertility treatment. I am a believer!

The front desk office manager was hostile towards me from the minute I walked in the door. My acupuncturist was wonderful, though. Yet upon leaving I was again met with the hostile attitude of the front desk office manager. Impossible to have a healing experience with that negative vibe before and after the acupuncture.

Have been coming to the Healing Art Center for a number of years and received the very best acupuncture and chiropractic treatment. The environment is friendly and calming and the providers are experienced practitioners. They definitely helped me manage my knee pain and keep me running 🏃🏾♀️
