I switched to Sycamore vet after the disastrous outcome from my experience with Holland vet. Update: Melody had to be put down last month due to atrophy in her legs brought on by the Chloramphenicol prescribed by Dr. Carey. Since changing to Sycamore Vet my experience was fantastic. Dr. Weiss was excellent in caring for my little girl. Most recently, I received a card in the mail signed by every one at Sycamore vet sending their condolences. It was unexpected and absolutely appreciated. I just remember when Melody was being to show signs of arthritis. Dr. Weiss prescribed a couple meds which almost immediately resolved the symptoms. I've never owned an animal besides a fish before getting my kitten. As a new cat mom, I was fretting about a lot (of silly things)! We worked with Dr Applebaum who was so patient and knowledgeable as I asked my questions and she explained what needed to happen. Her professionalism, compassion, and genuine love of animals made our visits a great experience (even my cat wasn't scared!)... I'll never go elsewhere!
This Veterinary Hospital is nothing short of amazing! The staff are very helpful and genuinely care about building a bond with not only their furry patients but with their owners which you rarely see now-a-days. We had to put our cat down and Dr. Weiss was caring and shared stories of times with my cat and made a very hard situation somewhat manageable. The staff and Dr. Weiss were patient while I wanted to spend my final moments with my baby and did not push anything. I plan on bringing my future animals back to not only Sycamore vet but Dr. Weiss!
