I had a problem with action Heating and Air and Ben as well. The reason I had called us because they had sold me a heater less than 10 years ago and the price was quite High it had a few issues within those 10 years butt this past winter I had an issue where the blower engine started making noise I was told by Ben that I would need a new heater because not only was the blower engine bad the fan itself was bent and that caused the heat exchanger to be scorched all caused by water coming down my chimney he also wanted to put in a chimney sleeve all of this in the thousands of dollars. Because he claims water damage I called my insurance company they sent out pretty Heating he claimed I was being scammed and all I needed was a new heater fan I told him then from action told me that my heater would not last the winter and it would cost $3,600 to replace the fan and motor. I then called G & J stimmler and Sons they came out and verified what Peretti had said I did not need a new heater that been in action heating were trying to Simply tell me another one all I needed was a motor and a fan and if in fact I needed a heater they would sell me one comfortable at way less the price. I had called action a couple of times with no replies so I decided to post this luckily I only wasted $150 on their service charge which was not worth it and should be refunded because they were incorrect with their diagnosis. Please avoid this company at all costs there are many others out there that will help you and are honest. They have closed all thy have closed the other local Philadelphia locations, and you can guess why. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THEM!

Worthless had these guys install new heater hasn't worked right for 2 years never turns off come out and fix it and it never turns on.. that's what happens when you have 4 amateurs installing a heater with too many hands on the job

Terrible Service, Terrible Ownership. Mislead me to believe something was going to be $3000 due to the expense of the part, and it was better to put a whole new furnace that would come with a fresh warranty an be more efficient. Offered same day service and seemed friendly enough. $4800 for the new furnace. They arrive installed it in abut 2 hours, and everything seemed to be working. Looked at the furnace and found that the sticker said it was highly inefficient, and when I looked up the unit I could order the Furnace online and it would cost me about $880 shipped to me door. Which means they charged me almost $4,000 in labor for 2 hours of work. the tech told me their rate was $75.00 per hour. I called home depot and got a quote for the same unit and it was $2,800.I called and asked to have the unit replaced with a better more efficient furnace, and they told me no. Since they installed if within 72 hours of my call, it's considered an emergency, and I was not eligible to have it removed or replaced. No that I felt taken advantage of I looked up my Old unit and the part they said would cost $3000. I found it online for $35, and directions showing about 20 minutes of work to swap out. I called several times and got a hold of the owner who told me tough luck, he didn't have the time to deal with it, and go ahead and get a lawyer if I didn't like it. hung up on me. About 6 months later I get a call about setting up a maintenance visit, which would cost me $150.00 for an air filter change and a look over. I told them I would take care of it myself, and they explained that if I didn't have them do the maintenance, they would not honor the warranty. Nowhere in the manual does it say I'm forced to let them work on my furnace to ensure my Westinghouse warranty. I've come to find they sell that product because they are the only place in a great distance approved to perform warranty repairs and installs. A year later the new unit failed. I called for assistance, they refused to honor the warranty as I didn't pay them to do it, and they wouldn't even look at it to let me know if the issue was related to a maintenance issue, or defect. I called Westinghouse and they agreed the unit should be under warranty and the repairs should be covered. Action refused to look or help. I found that the board was not seeing flame, bought the part online for $90. installed it myself, has been fine ever since. AVOID AT ALL COST!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I had an issue with my outdoor unit, a so called technician came out and said I needed a new unit which was put in by this company in 2014. It should have been covered under warranty. After telling me it was covered and scheduling an appt. they called me the morning they were supposed to come out and said it wasn't covered under warranty. I told them that I would pay the $3300.00 for the unit and I would go after the warranty company myself. They told me that they would not come out to fix it and left me stranded. Customer service is horrible! I called another heating company who came out the next day and told me that there was nothing wrong with my unit except the capacitor was weak which cost me 130.00. Problem fixed. I thank god Action didn't come out that morning. Dishonest tried to sell me a unit I didn't need!

While visiting my brother in law for the holidays in Yardley Pa. , when at 5:30 in the morning the heater stopped working , so he called a local company to come out and fix his heater. with in a 1/2 hr the mechanic Chris showed up at his door from Action Air ,he figured out the problem with in a couple of minutes and said the safety switch was being tripped . He looked at the rest of the system and said it was only a dirty filter,my brother in law was very happy that the mechanic was honest and that it didn't cost alot.THANK YOU CHRIS AND ACTION FOR YOUR PROMPT RESPONSE AND SERVICE ,I WI'LL ALWAYS BE GREATFUL FOR THE HEAT WE GOT WHILE UP NORTH,WE NEEDED IT. .And my brother in law Eric will definitely use you for all his needs. ..

Joe D came out to fix my unit around 7:30 in willow grove it was fixed in no time and he stayed afterward to make sure everything was running right and to go over everything with me. Very happy with their service I would recommend them to anyone great service.

Today I had Joe D from Action air at a condo I rent out in steamboat station south hampton pa because my tenants heat went out last night being as hot air rises she woke up to a 55degree house i called action around 8:30am the tech arrived at 8:55am it was around 10 mins later that the heat was back up and running. Once Joe got it running he stayed another 20 minutes cleaning and going over unit due to the fact that a little over 20 years old and although i have maintnences every couple years my tenant doesnt keep up with the filters + its in a laundry room and joe explained the lint will cause parts to go bad and the fact that 80% of the registers were completely covered was more than likely combined with a horrandess filter why my high limit went bad they're not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I've dealt with many companies and they're prices are more then competetive unless your talking about a fly by night or 1 man band in which case they tell you see you next week thanks Joe very professional and I'm sorry you had to work in that place. I thought I was buying a heater during holiday season instead a couple hundred and tips on preventing future problems thanks again you guys are and always be my hvac team!

Last year switched to propane heater unit and Action was not the cheapest but came in with a fair price.They did an awesome and very neet job.Got a call from them to schedule maintenance.Action came out today for my one year maintenance check up.On time and friendly.Thanks Action Had Sean from Action out for maintenance today,he called 20 min. ahead of his on time appt.He was very knowledgeable and thorough.Thanks again
