I’ve been going here for years and loved this place and Rafy. I made an appointment with him 4 months ago, sent him the idea I wanted, the area I was thinking and gave my down payment. I was told he would draw it up the day of the appointment to customize it and make it perfect for what I wanted. 4 months later I walk in and hand him the printed out idea. He said, yea it’s not going to work. He kept giving me excuses and then said another artist would be better for that design anyway. I told him he had 4 months to tell me any of this or we could work on the design and he said…”yea I should have told you”. And that was it. I did get my deposit back that’s horribly unprofessional and I obviously won’t be back. He just seemed like he didn’t want to tattoo that day or something. Very disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about Blue Velvet. Rafy the owner is extremely helpful and patient, and an amazing artist. I also cannot say enough good things about Abigail. She was incredibly patient w me and helped me choose the perfect design to make sure i was happy. If youre looking for exquisite fine line and any type of floral design, you should def see her. Highly recommend both!!

Getting my first tattoo with my best friend was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t say enough good things about it! Abigail’s attention to detail was incredible—she ensured we were comfortable every step of the way and made us feel truly welcomed. Her friendly and professional approach put us at ease, and the final result was absolutely amazing. I would definitely go back again should I consider getting a second one :)

Have nothing but great things to say about this shop. It had been over 15 years since I had a tattoo and honestly felt a little overwhelmed with the process. I saw Abigail who immediately made me feel at ease. After a brief consultation on what I wanted to get, I was able to get the tattoo the same day! She was super helpful and made sure I was OK where the placement was before we started. During the tattoo she would check in to see how I was doing and we chit chat through the whole process. She is super professional and has a amazing career ahead of her. Look no further if your considering a tattoo as they will make you feel completely comfortable.
