This gym deserves a 5 star rating. Genesis Fitness Centre actually cares about the fitness of Americans! It's a great price point for the value. No gimmicks - you cancel at any time - just follow the rules to allow for the 30 day notice. You get a personal training session with an amazing trainer - I completed mine with Lisa and it was LIFE CHANGING! What a confidence boost to spend an hour with a knowledgable trainer who can help you achieve your goals! And there's no pressure for additional sessions (though I would be booked weekly with Lisa when my budget allows for that!!) You can attend classes that look amazing and fun! Genesis hours are smart - it forces you to get your workout in rather than waiting until 10pm at night which is not ideal for health. If you want to get in a great workout at a gym that is meticulously maintained and has great equipment and low-key vibes, then Genesis is for you!

Good local gym.I do wish they would eliminate some of the machines as nearly half the gym is machines. Would prefer more free weight based machines like hammer presses and a dedicated shoulder press bench.

I personally love the Adult Active, Moving to the Oldies, & Silver Sneaker classes! You can make them as gentle or as intense as you want, and the instructors are fabulous?

The gym is very nice. It's clean and has a lot to offer to their clients. The reason why I'm not giving it a 5 Star rating is their choice of music filtered into their sound system. It's beyond inappropriate and unnecessary. Hopefully, who ever in charge of the choice of music reads this review and looks into something more appropriate.

I've had my membership ever since moving to Harleysville, but being a Police Officer in Philadelphia I only come according to my schedules. The times I have come, it has been a pleasant experience. The owners are nice, the older male trainer is kind. However when I do come in and GREET the desk person, there is never any sort of reciprocation, but looks at the screen to see if I belong. Several times I have said "Hello, Good Morning..." no response however others have received the welcoming greeting. Not sure if it's because they are familiar faces, a certain complexion, either way, makes ya feel unwelcomed. I have been consistent in paying although I do attend other facilities or what's in my location.

I was a member at the Souderton gym when they were open, then moved my membership here at first thinking I wouldn’t be going as much. Nope… I probably go more now than I did when they were a mile from me!I do weight lifting classes, Zumba, barre, pound, you will never find another place offering this variety of group fitness classes for such an affordable rate. I can do 4 to 5 classes a week and get all my workouts in.Would love to see an additional barre or Pilates class on the weekend but I understand you have limited capacity and one studio. Oh well, I get all I need and more from Genesis. The owner Julian is a really nice guy and personally greets everyone too. Even if a new gym opened up closer to me I’d still be going to Genesis!!
