Dr. Coulon is knowledgeable, pleasant, shares her thinking, answers questions, and is practical. She's very good about followup, uses discretion about when she needs to see a horse in person or whether consulting by phone is adequate. Our vet of many years retired and I was concerned we'd be less happy with someone new, but Dr. Coulon is both capable and easy to interact with and I'm glad she was available and able to take on new accounts. I didn't really want a new vet, but I'm very happy with Dr. Coulon and the horses are getting what they need.
Dr Coulon is a wonderful vet. I recently had the unfortunate experience of a fatal horse injury. When I got to the barn she was already there with our barn owner, who’d called her out right away. She met me at my car, and started telling me what she’d observed on arrival. My 8 yr old Arab gelding either snapped a bone in his leg or had a fatal heart attack, tripped awkwardly and fell, and never moved after hitting the ground. She gave me a hug and told me how sorry she was, then left me and my daughter to cry and say our goodbyes to him.
