I've been a "patient" at Hoffman clinic for roughly 7 years now. My dogs have had numerous routine visits and several surgeries under Dr. Shimek. The office experience is nearly always a positive one. And yes, like most vets post-pandemic, they are very busy. People went out and got a pet or started taking more care of what they already had. Hiccups can happen. View the clinic's reputation elsewhere; there are hundreds of positive reviews. Yelp, as is tradition, is the place to complain. You'll find many of the negative reviews are more about the reviewer than their pet.

Caring people to look after my pets medical needs. Responsive to my concerns. I've taken three different cats there and I've been happy. I've been going here for a couple years now after switching from another veterinarian in Salem.

After having to put one fur baby down for medical reasons, I was very picky about my next vet for my new fur baby. Due to covid there was only one vet in my area taking new clients, Hoffman's was it and I'm glad. They took great care of my new baby. Just a heads up...Dr. Hoffman, is somewhat of a sarcastic smartass, so if you're sensitive, just know! I a smartass myself, so I quickly over looked it!
