I've been seeing Alaina for quite some time and I have to say that she is the best stylist/barber that I've ever been to. As someone who's picky about my hair--she truly has such an understanding of getting to know your hair and how it grows out and naturally wants to lay, to ensure your cut and style works best for you. So if you have stubborn hair, she is your person! I also love that they are queer owned and operated and it's such a welcoming environment and caring people. If you're a guy who likes to keep your hair longer, this is a great hybrid of barber shop meets hair salon!

I loved getting my hair done with Nate. It was such a calming and welcoming environment. I shared my concerns and showed Nate some of my inspirations for a transformation haircut and he definitely exceeded my expectations. I will be back to see him in 8 weeks ?

I have been searching for a new stylist since my last one moved about 1.5 years ago. Alaina gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Her energy was amazing. Very warm and welcoming. The decor and atmosphere of the shop was excellent! I'll definitely be back

Gold+Grit Barber Company is an all inclusive barbershop in the Slabtown neighborhood of Northwest Portland OR. We are a two chair LGBTQIA+ owned and operated shop that proudly serves Portland and its diverse patrons. Services a primarily performed on a one on one basis for your safety and ours during the pandemic. Masks are required and currently by appointment only.
