I live in a group of freehold condominiums, each with an upper and a lower flat roof. Because they're freeholds, the board has no authority to impose roof repairs and because 8 houses share one flat roof, the challenge for all the years I've lived here (13) has been to find a way to allow one homeowner to replace their roof without damaging the roofs of the neighbours.
