Ian was amazing, so responsive and helpful, and Joe, the site manager, kept everything on track. The whole team was professional, efficient and the work was top-notch. After a full winter, even with the spring thaw, our basement stayed completely dry. We feel so confident and can rest easy knowing we have such a solid system in place. It was well worth the money and the 20-year warranty gives us total peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing this kind of work.

Floods can be very stressful but when you're in good hands with Best Plumbing and Drainage Contractors you don't need to worry as much. We see the adjective “best” used to describe something as “the most excellent quality” or “outstanding” as in exceptionally good. “Best” is used frequently in advertising: “best realtor”, “best coffee” or in wedding ceremonies, “best man” (Whatever that means…). Is the word overused? Yes. We see “best” applied many times under so many different circumstances and so frequently that the word has lost its credibility. Over time we have become too accustomed to hearing about a product or service labelled as “best”. In the case of Best Plumbing and Drainage, you get a unique opportunity to see what the real word means to them and their service in an authentic way. Hiring them gives the consumer an insight into their outstanding service, professional personnel and a dash of kindness which could be included as an important component of “best” as in going above and beyond the norm for their customers.Here’s the sad scenario that brought them to our house: Bathroom renovations (new shower, tub, sink, faucets, floor, electrics and wall repairs). And of course, everything that could go wrong…did. Access to the shower and sometimes the sole toilet was, shall we politely say, intermittent. And just when you think that nothing else could wrong… Now it was the sewage line. Without going into too many lurid details, it had unexpectedly collapsed and water from ALL sources would not leave the building as it were. Daily life was totally disrupted. You don’t realize the importance of a lowly sewage line until you loose one.With careful research and a few Google Reviews, we requested help from Best Plumbing and Drainage to replace the line which was likely from the 19th century given the age of the house. No sooner had the email been sent when the city arrived to explore their end of sewer things. In tow was a large extractor truck from Best Plumbing and Drainage to help dig an examination hole using ultra high water pressure connected to what might be described as a giant, mobile vacuum cleaner. If the city used Best, I figured we should, too! I spoke with Best employees Landon and Sean who were very kind and helpful. Both gave some sage advice and even tried to blow out the clogged line as a courtesy with their magnificent and powerful machine, to but no avail. This initial contact wth Best foreshadowed how our experience would be: kind, professional, caring and knowledgeable.Contact to Best was made through both Ian and Sean who were fabulous in getting the wheels moving to replace our entire sewage lines to the city’s connection point. Turns out that the original line was clay, the same as the Romans used in their plumbing! Digging began within 48 hours of the original request for help. Best was sensitive to the urgency brought on by a single bathroom.Digging with a mini digger was carefully executed in a tricky spot with a gas line, a water supply line and multiple communications wires. Both Joe and Ken did a fantastic job under difficult circumstances in a very tight spot. No disruptions for us or the neighbours.Next came the plumbers to hook up the new sewage line to revamped sewage and drain lines on the inside. Given that the basement of this 1860s house is cramped and tiny, the job was a challenge. Both Nate and Nolan did a magnificent job: professional, expert, friendly and communicative. We were so impressed that we hired them to install the new toilet, sink, bathtub and faucets, finally completing the project, a recognition of their great handiwork. Tim, their supervisor, organized and planned the work with finesse, kindly arranging to install the toilet…fast.In conclusion, Best Plumbing and Drainage lived up to their name, “Best” by their actions and not just words. We would highly recommend them for their high levels of commitment through several layers of work and numerous well-trained and capable employees across the entire experience who truly were the best. They’ve given the word “best” new meaning in a world where overused superlatives have no credibility.
