Happy Tails Pet Resort & Camp, established in 1996, is known as ‘Muskoka’s Retreat for the Furry Elite.’ Located just 5 minutes from downtown Huntsville, Ontario, it is a pioneer in cage-free pet care. The resort features a new pavilion, 17 fully-fenced dog parks, playgrounds, and quiet zones, all set on 25 acres of natural parkland, complete with ponds for swimming and exploring. Customers appreciate the personal touch provided by the staff, especially Lisa, the owner, who goes out of her way to understand each pet's needs. The property is well built, groomed, and maintained, resembling a resort spa for dogs. The facility is clean and secure, allowing dogs to socialize and play freely. Many dogs return home happy, tired, and ready for a nap after enjoying their stay at the resort. The resort is especially praised for accommodating specific dietary needs and providing a safe environment for rescue dogs, making it feel like a summer camp for pets. The beautiful grounds offer plenty of space for dogs to run, swim, and enjoy, leading to positive changes in their behavior and well-being. We were travelling around Ontario camping and heard about Happy Tails in Muskoka so decided we would bring our dog there while we were camping nearby.
Her stay was amazing and besides the place being gorgeous for dogs to roam around, ours definitely had an amazing time there. She tired herself out so much that she slept the entire rest of the day after we picked her up.
We can't wait until the next time we pass through Muskoka and can leave her there for a few days to really enjoy the resort to its fullest.

Auberon had a weekend adventure recently at Happy Tails. He always loves his time there to run and play with other dogs. Lisa is amazing with him and always manages to capture his crazy smile.
I highly recommend Happy Tails to anyone looking for a place your dog can run and play to their hearts content.

We boarded our Dog Rusty for the day while doing activities in Huntsville. Lisa is the most caring person and has an amazing facility for our puppy. Definitely our first pick for short and long-term stays. Rusty had so much fun.. off leash swimming and playing in a controlled environment. He had his own hotel room! Great option if you need help while staying in Muskoka.(She offers shuttle services too)
