I had to have my 11 year old pomeranian Foxy put down 11/17/25 called Dr Ohmann last minute and he squeezed us in. He was very kind as well as the vet tech and even allowed me to make payments. Ty Dr Ohmann and staff for the kindness during a very sad and stressful difficult day.

frustrated to leave this review as everyone here was decently nice, but i had a horrible time. the dr. was nice and thorough/educated, but i felt he kept forgetting things we had already spoke about. the main issue was for my dogs anal glands, which he expressed WITHOUT wearing gloves…he used some disinfecting liquid but i didn’t see him wash his hands once the entire visit. which reminds me the vet tech woman had an awful cold and was coughing horribly the entire visit making me very nervous because the exam room was very small and i have a baby at home and it’s flu season. not to mention she had to hold my dog down against her shirt she kept coughing into, so i felt like i needed to give my dog a bath as soon as we got home. not only due to her being inconsiderate, but due to the floors in the exam room were covered in other dog fur. when we first entered she verbatim said “oh i’m not sure if the counter has been cleaned off yet”. and to think if the doctor took no sanitary precautions when expressing anal glands…i just can’t imagine how filthy that table was. he gave me an already opened box of heartworm medicine so i’m not even sure if it’s new. gave me multiple different price estimates and paid more at the end of the visit.

I have been going to this vet for 3 years cause my Dog is 3 years old. I called Saturday because something bite my Rottweiler on the nose . I was greated with a voicemail to leave a message. I left a message with my name dogs name phone number and why i was calling and i wanted a collar to put on his head so he couldnt keep pawing it and making it bleed. They NEVER called me back but the last time i was in there the vet was so rude he also gave my dog another parvo shot of which he gave him one when he was 1 years old of which was in my dogs records. The 2nd time i was in there the vet exsplained everything in great detail the 3 time was when the vet have him the 2nd parvo shot . As if i could have affored to make a file at another vets office i wouldnt have even called Oakwood vet back but i thought i could get help for my fur baby . These folks dont care about nothing but money! May the Lord Bless each and every one thats involved. Its not anout the humans its about humane to animals. The only reason i went here with Chop is because Oakwood vet put of Boomer down when she had cancer. My Rottweiler has spots on him that resembles boomers cancer marks oakwood vet doesn't know what they are he said it's a sticker but all it does is keep growing. With Dr. Ohmann and staffs help I've said my heart broken goodbyes to my 3 babies. JuJu at 10, Poohna at 11 and Miss Brownie at 23...their rainbow bridge journey was quick and painless..thank you all I know I have my bad days but at the end of it all I have been going to Dr Ohmann for 25 years and I just don't trust anyone else...I just love his passion for our FURBABIES

This is a great place. I highly recommended it . I’ve taken all of my babies there even their litters. They are very reasonable so if you get a chance, stop by and check them out.

Dr. O is great - he has been taking care of our two pitbulls for the last 5 years. He helped my sister identify and remove a tumor from her rescue dog. He is compassionate and his prices are reasonable.
