Signing up for a membership here was a mistake. Unless you plan to use this gym for the rest of your life, it would be best not to sign up here.

They are a scam they overcharge you and they tell you you can cancel at any time but you have to pay around $80-$100 to cancel. And then you have all these pop-up charges that you have no clue what they’re for and they keep trying to say their service fee fees are late fees or whatever why am I being charged double every month I don’t understand And they claimed they don’t have a corporate office. Don’t do it if you don’t want all these crazy bills

Update 2026: theft has increased in the gym extremely In 2025 and I rarely miss place anything which is why I’m surprised but the more I think about it the more I realized it was more likely theft but 2 times I finished with the massage beds and went to leave and somehow I never heard them drop or hit the ground but first my AirPod pros vanished even the find my wouldn’t find them which means someone reset them and stole them and even backups that I had which are called soundcores vanished just 3 weeks ago in a similar fashion. And everytime im hoping lost and found will have them they are just gone. Keep an eye on your things and keep them close.

    Update:
I found out that crunch is contracted with a massage beds company and is supposed have a regular actual massage beds like the expensive full body massage chairs not just hydro massages. So this is my way of submitting a request to have them put in or I’m going to get ahold of corporate every week until there is one forced it’s way in there. Crunch responded to my review but, bathroom floors and locker rooms are still dirty, hand sanitizer dispenser are literally empty all over the gym, like every single one and now the water fountain and water bottle station is out of order. Last week only 2 stair machines were working out of the 5 or 6. The massage beds are always covered in salty looking sweat stains that are never cleaned.
I like the gym, but it is too packed, and it is just way too hard to enjoy your workout. There are a lot of machines where there is only one of them and there should be a minimum 2-3. I’m constantly having to watch other people, waiting for them to leave and then the one second I look away it gets taken by someone new. Only reason I’m putting one star is that hopefully this message reaches someone higher up and they do something about it, I’m 1000% positive I’m not the only one tired of it.

I read others post where the owner responded and said idk what to do, how about you buy minimum 2 of every machine. And enforce more cleanliness.

Although this gym has comparatively versatile equipment, the staff at the Toledo location also has significant integrity issues.

First (and this was actually the final straw), I was misled about what my membership included when I joined in October 2024. Apparently, the extra $10 for the "Crunch Kick-off" was actually for a "consultation,” not the program itself. I only discovered the misinformation when I was lied to STRAIGHT TO MY FACE by one of the trainers about what he AGREED to do for me during AND after the consultation. I don't care about the actual cost of the program OR what the membership included. Just don't lie about it.

Second, when I brought the issue to the assistant manager in November, I was MORE than willing to write it off as a "miscommunication." She was generous enough to offer two free months of membership fees, which I did not ask for. However, I woke December 26th only to find that I was charged $53 for the month. (Note that nearly EVERY one star review is about being overcharged for membership fees or ongoing charges after cancelation.)

Third, if you're a female, be prepared for loud "locker room" talk ON THE GYM FLOOR from meat heads that are openly degrading women. The fact than I am a male is irrelevant, and frankly, I don't GAF about your personal views about gender. Sexist or racist behavior is outrageous regardless of who you are, and public discussion isn't the place for it when everyone is paying for a harassment-free environment. What was ESPECIALLY offensive was that staff members engaged in the member’s dialogue. So, the staff not only endorses this atmosphere, but they actually encourage it.

Finally, because the equipment is versatile, it's a busy gym. Fine. However, the staff does NOTHING to address people "using" machines who spend 20+ minutes socializing around them instead of working out....during PEAK HOURS. People have complained directly to those members AND the staff, but nothing has changed.

In short, the Toledo Crunch Fitness is as much about status as anything else. I don't give a damn about that, especially when I’m driving more than a 30 minute round trip to work out. I want to get in, do the job, and go home. If the glamour and glitter is what you want, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay clear of this gym.

As of present, I’m out of town, but I guarantee that I’ll be in to cancel my membership the day I return from my vacation.💯

As a member of Crunch Fitness since the beginning of 2023, I felt compelled to write this review to address some pressing issues. When I first joined, I was thrilled by the gym’s culture, energy, and facilities. However, over the past few months, I’ve witnessed a drastic decline in nearly every aspect of this gym, and I feel strongly that this must be brought to your attention before it spirals further out of control.

One of the most glaring issues is the behavior of the front desk staff. When I first joined, I was greeted warmly, and the team seemed genuinely invested in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Now, that’s far from the case.Lack of Professionalism: Staff members spend more time on their phones or chatting among themselves than assisting members. Simple courtesies like a greeting or acknowledgment upon entering have disappeared.Inappropriate Conduct: During evening hours, the front desk feels more like a social gathering than a professional workspace. Staff are often seen flirting with gym-goers rather than being attentive to those who need assistance.

The state of the gym has deteriorated to an unacceptable level.Bathrooms: The bathrooms are in shambles. The floors are constantly wet, and tissue litters the floors. The odor is so unpleasant that I avoid using them altogether. Worse still, one of the toilets has been broken for months something that could have easily been addressed in a timely manner but has clearly been ignored.
Gym Floor: Equipment cleanliness has also taken a backseat. Machines often have sweat stains left behind, and cleaning supplies are rarely restocked.

Perhaps the most frustrating issue is the neglect of equipment maintenance. Machines seem to go out of order on a daily basis. For instance, one of the stair climbers has been “on rest day” for over two months, and now another one is broken. A line of treadmills has also been out of order for weeks with no sign of repair. Despite adding new equipment, there’s been a failure to maintain or repair existing machines. For those of us paying monthly dues, this is unacceptable.

These issues have escalated to the point that I question whether anyone in management is taking their role seriously. I don’t know if there has been a change in leadership or staffing, but whatever has happened, it’s clear that standards have fallen dramatically.

As paying members, we deserve better. We deserve a clean, functional gym with attentive staff and a professional environment. I urge whoever is in charge to address these problems immediately before this gym loses the loyal members who once valued it. At this rate, it’s only a matter of time before the reputation of this location is completely tarnished.

I sincerely hope this review sparks a change. This gym has the potential to be a great facility, but without immediate action, it’s heading toward failure.
