Dr. Hayes and Roman were just great with River. He was very comfortable with his new friends (as was I). Everyone was very kind and helpful. Broadview Animal and Bird Hospital has an excellent team! Thank you so much.

Office help puts you on hold every time you call and then doesn’t answer back. Even when it’s the end of your dogs life. Rude. Expensive.

Have been going with our pets here for over 20 years.
Of late, the services are slipping. When you call, when you speak to someone, your placed on hold for an inordinate amount of time.
They seem to be content simply treating issues, lots of tests, expensive bills, but not finding the elusive cure.
The personal service that used to be their trademark has gone away. We no longer trust them with our four legged family members.

Dr Brown is very kind and has preformed multiple surgery on our pet. Always is open to discussion of options and you can tell he cares about his patients.

Very poor service with Dr Holly Hayes. I had made an appointment for blood panel prior to dental work. She insisted on performing a full exam on my dog. He had just had one a couple of weeks ago at another clinic. I asked for any kind of discount and she refused. I would have been content with just $10 off. The office manager was willing, but Dr Hayes was not. As Dr Hayes and I were discussing this, I noticed she was recording our conversation on her phone. I asked her if she was recording. She said yes but that she would delete it. She stopped recording but as far as I could tell, she did not delete it.
Everybody else there was very nice.

I will never forgive myself for bringing my poor Flemish Giant rabbit, Sunny, to this uncaring, inexperienced and heartless place.
On Friday, September 27th, I took my 4 year old rabbit to an appointment here for discolored and bloody urine. After doing almost every test, the doctor diagnosed reproductive cancer and suggested spaying. I agreed and paid around $675 for the tests, medications, and scheduled the surgery for Monday. I was so eager to have her cured.
On Monday, September 30th, the day of the surgery, my rabbit did not want to get in her carrier to go to the surgery. Despite this, I forced her to go, and she was obviously scared and saddened the whole time. Initially I received good news that the surgery was going well, via a phone call at 7:38 am.
At 8:03 am, and I was eventually called into an examination room to be told by Dr. Cunningham that my beloved rabbit's heart suddenly stopped during the surgery. They brought out my rabbit's poor, lifeless, limp body wrapped in a blanket and set her on the table in front of me. It was the most painful sight to see her lifeless, with both wrists shaved and tapped intravenously, and her belly shaved and stitched. I was left to mourn alone for a few minutes and then immediately was approached by a staff member, who tried to sell me over $400 in cremation services, which I declined. They made me leave through the back door so the other people waiting would not see how heartbroken I was. They charged me in total over $1109 to just mishandle and end my rabbit's life prematurely. I would rather have my rabbit alive and well than the money of course.
I took my rabbit's body home and our family was expecting me to arrive with our beloved friend starting her recovery, and instead were met with disbelief and sadness when I walked through the door with my rabbit now deceased. I left her in her carrier for a few hours while figuring out what to do, also hoping that she would wake up by some miracle. I buried her in a small casket in the backyard, and it is the saddest sight to leave and come back home to.
The reason my rabbit's heart stopped was definitely due to an overdose of anesthetic being administered to her. Her entire cardiovascular system was in great shape (heart, lungs, kidneys, blood, hydration etc.) and Dr. Cunningham performed blood tests before the surgery to confirm that my rabbit was no longer anemic and fit for surgery. Her heart did not just stop from any natural reason. After all this I had a discussion on the phone with Dr. Cunningham and she kept changing reasons for why my poor rabbit's heart stopped, saying that the rabbit was in a weakened state. If that were true then any competent doctor would not allow the surgery to be started. She tried to reassure me of her expertise by saying that she has 4 years of experience, but that truly is not enough. I will never forgive myself for allowing this place to torture, mutilate, and ultimately kill my innocent pet. I have not been able to recover still, and 4 days have passed. She was probably so confused and saddened about being poked with needles and thermometers, and then she never woke up again. If I had taken her to a competent and caring vet, she would definitely be here with us recovering and living for many years longer.

Thank you to Dr. Caitlin Cunningham and the Broadview staff for their compassionate support when my beloved Charlie passed into the great beyond. Charlie was a small creature who had a big impact on my life. Dr. Cunningham interrupted her schedule to take the time to address Charlie’s final needs. Her actions supported me in my grief.
