Had outpatient surgery today with the ambulatory surgery center. Nurses were phenomenal, anesthesiologist listed to my worries and made sure he took extra care with me. Did a block prior to the OR and talked though the entire procedure and made sure I was comfortable, block was so good that I came out of surgery not needing any pain meds whatsoever. Staff in the OR were caring and made sure I knew everything happening, down to the anesthesia going in the IV. PACU nurse was the same as pre op, which made it more comfortable as she knew all about me. I was in and out in 4 hours, and I am still pain free from the block..
The staff was amazing. The front desk employees directed me exactly where to go. I was I greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked me in and directed me to take a seat. There was one funny point during my wait. I was scrolling though my phone and someone said loudly "get off Facebook!" I was like uh hahah my wait time wasn't too long and I was advised they would be out shorty to get me as they were setting up the equipment. They brought me a wristband while i waited. I was taken back to the ultrasound room where I was getting steroid injections in both knees. The doctors introduced themselves and were very friendly. I had right knee surgery today, after my first consultation they got me in right away knowing that I was in pain. I was very nervous today and the surgical team did everything to make me very comfortable and important. I could of not asked for a better team. Prayers and will wishes to them all.
