If you’re looking for a trusted veterinarian and/or have an urgent care need visit for your furbaby please do consider Lakeland Animal Clinic and Urgent Care. Dr Malak and the team went above and beyond, treating my furbaby like their own.
My furbaby needed to be seen urgently on a weekend while I was out of the country and other emergency vet location had a wait time of 16 unseen patients but when we called Lakeland Animal Clinic and Urgent Care, they were able to see our furbaby (brought in my pet sitter) immediately. They were able to promptly take care of my furbaby needs immediately.
From the moment we walked in on our follow up appointment, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. Dr Malak took the time to listen to my concerns and was very patient with explaining everything in a way that I could understand. You can tell that they genuinely care and love about animals.
On top of that, Mr Malak took his time to help out a case that we have with Rover and went above and beyond for us in that regards too! I cannot recommend Dr Malak and Lakeland Animal Clinic and Urgent Care enough!

My experience with Lakeland has been spectacular- kind and competent vet and vet techs with a down to earth and approachable way of speaking and treating clients. Receptionists are always so friendly also! Upfront pricing and in depth treatment plans laid out beforehand. I found this clinic at random when I needed one for my cat who developed respiratory symptoms, and it was a huge blessing to me and to my pets that we found them. My pet ended up needed dental work, and they helped me understand every step of the way and I am so grateful for my cat Foster’s team. Thank you, Lakeland! - Foster + family
Update: Another phenomenal experience- Winnie, my female orange cat has an infected ingrown claw in her paw and we took her into the emergency hours on Sunday and we had just the most wonderful care. Cynthia, the receptionist was charming as always as we got checked in. Her calm and sweet presence helped us remain calm as we were nervous for our hurt kitty. Kyrie, our angel of a vet tech, reassured us the whole time, she comforted us while our baby was in her very capable hands. It meant a great deal to me how compassionate and caring she was with our girl. Dr. Annie evaluated our winnie and decided to try to treat with topical lidocaine and attempt to get the claw at the current visit. Thankfully, they were able to get the claw without sedating her which alleviated so much stress for all involved. Winnie is resting comfortably at home, thank you for everything AGAIN, Lakeland! You guys never miss! <3 Winnie & fam

I booked an appointment online over two weeks ago and paid $75 to book through their online booking site & Dr. Malak had to cancel my appointment the day of the appointment because he was under the weather, but when I called back at least four/five times over the course of TWO WEEKS, I received no call back, no message, no response on the refund for the inconvenience and unprofessionalism either. Very disappointed and I will be making a visit to the clinic in person for my FULL REFUND of 75 dollars. I’m extremely dissatisfied by the lack of communication about my appointment that I desperately needed for my dog Martini. I took her elsewhere and I suggest everyone else does too.

Came in for urgent care . We were greeted promptly and made felt at home . Dr Malak was quick on getting our dog pain free and xrayed! KK the assistant was very pleasant and worked slowly with Bella who was very nervous and scared . Dr Malak confirmed a completely torn ACL on our girl and gave her meds to keep her comfortable . He recommended which surgery to proceed and where he would take his dog to. Both techs helped her get our girl in the car . The way we felt at this office had made us choose to find our new vet home ! We plan to switch all of our fur babies here . We have a total of 8! Thank you so much for hands down amazing care and being so good to us! I also liked that we could joke around a bit too and not be so serious the whole time ! It helped take my own anxiety down a few levels :)

Dr. Malak and the staff at Lakeland Animal Clinic are amazing. My fiancée and I have a cat named Charlie who has been having GI issues for years, we have tried other veterinary offices and even the vet ER. No one could find a definitive answer or solution to what was going on in a timely manner at an affordable price until we came across Lakeland and Dr. Malak. After spending well over a grand on an ER visit that produced no answers with only temporary relief, we were finally able to get our Charlie some proper care and is finally back to his normal self. They offer abdominal ultrasounds which I could not find at any other vet office/clinic. The staff are very nice, personable, and caring. Absolutely our go-to veterinarian clinic from now on for all of our pets!

The urgent care service was a much better alternative to the typical ER at the larger vet hospital. There was no waiting and the environment was less stressful for our felv cat, who was there for a quality of life evaluation. The euthanasia procedure went smoothly.

We recently had an emergency with our cat and needed after hours help over a holiday weekend. We were totally new clients yet seen within minutes. Caleb and Dr. Annie were so gentle and sweet with our cat who we sadly ended up needing to put to sleep that night. The experience was difficult for us but made so much easier by the compassion and competence shown at Lakeland. They even sent a lovely sympathy card a week later!

I would like to share my very positive experience with Dr. Malak and his staff at Lakeland Animal Clinic. I needed to travel from Sandusky, OH because I was unable to get an appointment in the area as I was visiting from out of state. I contacted Lakeland Clinic about our cat, Teddy, who had an upper respiratory infection and a bad tooth. They worked with me to get her seen quickly. They were very busy but gave her a thorough examination, took blood work, treated her for her infection and scheduled her for a dental. When I called the clinic after the weekend and shared with them that Teddy's breathing was much better but was uncomfortable because of her tooth, they scheduled her surgery for an earlier date which is usually a non surgical day. Dr. Malak, Cynthia (receptionist), and Kaleb (vet tech) went above and beyond to help Teddy, and we are very grateful. It was refreshing to see a team work so well together to help our small cat. At a time when many small veterinary clinics are being bought out by corporations, it's nice to know there are still private practices out there willing to go the extra mile to help a beloved pet.
