Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about exotics which can be tough to find. My appointment was smooth and efficient and I was treated with respect. Would absolutely recommend to anyone needing an exotic vet.

Brought my cat in for asthma. They saw him same day and treated him right away when we arrived. The doctor was very clear and informative in explaining treatment options. It was pretty expensive, but that's the only drawback.

We went to the clinic today for our dog that has a tumor Dr Gwen was excellent with our dog explaining all options for her treatment and cost . I'm impressed with the care and cost is up front I would give 10 stars!!

Amazing dog lovers, always helpful, kind and quick and they work in hours that everyone can reach. Was amazing to get a 7 pm appointment 🙌 don't have to cancel or move anything around to make that appt. Great people will make the extra 50 min drive just for this level of care for my fur babies....

We were visiting with family in Ohio the night before Thanksgiving and our puppy was exhibiting symptoms of urinary difficulty. The staff and Dr were so very friendly and helpful. Pricing was very reasonable too. Nice to know that we have great vet care nearby if needed in the future!

Dr. Roald is the best. She has made my transition to Cleveland with my fur babies amazing because I can always count on her to take care of them in the best possible way. We have had two surgery experiences with her and an unfortunate passing that she helped me through. She is the only one my guys will see as long as she will have us.

If you value your pet or your wallet, avoid this place. I brought my dog in for a same-day emergency, and Avon Animal Clinic managed to turn an already stressful day into a nightmare. They ran a bunch of pointless, overpriced tests that had nothing to do with his symptoms — including an X-ray for kidney stones when there was no sign he had kidney issues at all. It’s almost like they pick tests out of a hat and hope you don’t ask questions. At another vet, they figured out what was wrong in under three minutes — pancreatitis, which happens to be common for his breed. One simple blood test, a fraction of the cost, and actual competence. A vet should be checking what issues are common in each breed... but what do I know. When I tried to bring up how mishandled everything was, they sent the same vet who messed up back in the room. The staff whisked my dog away before I could even understand what was being done or how much it would cost. And the “manager”? Nowhere to be found. I’ve been waiting for a call back that apparently isn’t coming. If you want to spend hundreds for confusion and zero accountability, this is your spot. Otherwise, take your pet somewhere that hires vets who can actually diagnose something without running your bank account dry.

We experienced an emergency with our dog and Avon Lake Animal clinic was amazing! I called ahead and they were at the door waiting for us. The took prompt care of our dog and us! She had to stay the night and we're just as great the next day when we picked her up. Thankfully our puppy is ok and back to herself! Thanks from Ember 😊

Terrible experience. Brought our cat in with a swollen ear, paid $440 and the next morning the ear came back, they told us they couldn’t do anything for me. Said it was a possibity it could come back, I understand that, but how do I know it was drained properly? They also sent us home with a DOG medication on accident. Pretty big mistake. This place also never answers their phones, even the emergency line so I wouldn’t even bother.

We took our very skittish and somewhat aggressive cat here to have a check up that was unexpected, due to an eye problem. Doctor Jacin was an exceptional veterinarian and helped us out more than we could ever have imagined. Our cat was safe and welcomed with open arms, despite being an angry girl. Her life was saved by Doctor Jacin and we cannot be more grateful for the assistance we received from this animal clinic. They were extremely professional and also empathetic for our girls diagnosis. I would absolutely, and have, recommended them to others. An amazing hospital with an amazing team. Our one eyed girl owes this hospital her life and so do we, please consult them with any animal complications and they will be there.
