We woke up one morning to see our utility pole leaning halfway over, supported only by our cable line; our electric wires were attached, but hanging against a nearby tree. Central Hudson recommended READ Electric to do the emergency repair. Many Hudson Valley contractors do not returns calls, even emergency calls--- but the owner of the company got back to us within a couple of hours, had a foreman on our property the same day to assess the damage and had a crew sent to our home the next day at 8AM to replace the utility pole and transfer all the wires, as well as the cable line. I had a power pole fail didn't know about it till central Hudson called to tell me about it and they also disconnected power to my business so I was out of business. I was recommended read electric and the understood my situation and promptly came out and installed new pole. I'm very happy with their professionalism and very fast response to my need to be back in business

Unfortunately ( or fortunately) I have not had to call on read electric for any personal issues or repairs that I've needed. That being said I have met and dealt with the owner of the company on a few occasions at my job. I rarely have good news for people being that we repair vehicles at my job. Usually I'm giving estimates for repairs people would rather not have to incur if they had the choice. (They're car breaking down) and telling them how long I will need the vehicle to complete the job. The owner is always a real gentleman, very kind and very courteous, and very understanding as well if something doesnt go as planned. Sorry if this review isnt necessarily about...read full review
