From Gutterman's Funeral Home
When your loved one has passed on, it’s a time for grieving and for spending time reflecting on their place in your life. Unfortunately, there can be many details you need to attend to in the immediate aftermath of their death, all of which can take your focus away from where it needs to be. In your time of loss, it’s important to have funeral service professionals who can guide you through the process, who understand the unique requirements of your traditions, and who will treat you with utmost sensitivity and fairness. At Gutterman’s, we believe that serving the funeral and memorial service needs of the Jewish community is a calling. We’ve been family-owned and operated since we first opened our doors more than 125 years ago.
Very clean place but I felt like the rabbi who did the service for my families funeral rushed it! Rabbi wanted us out if there as quickly as possible. He spoke so fast as if he just didn’t want our family to mourn our lives one. My sibling n I told the rabbi, before everyone arrived, all what we wanted him to say about our family member. Especially what organization to donate to! Rabbi didn’t tell our family n friends what charities to donate to! 75% of what my sibling n I told the rabbi he didn’t mention!! I was very disappointed n hurt
My mother died on a Wednesday morning. By 3pm we had an appointment at Gutterman's in Rockville Center. They explained all our options and the protocols. All the arrangements were done within an hour, the staff was fantastic, and the Rabbi they referred us to was just perfect. Our service went smoothly, the staff was incredibly respectful and helpful, and the graveside service was exactly what we wanted. We highly recommend Gutterman's Rockville Center.
From the beginning to the end all of their staff was very professional and caring. I was very satisfied with how they handled the viewing, and the grave side service. It made the loss of my mother just a little more tolerable
