I’ve been a student here for a little over five years and have loved every minute of it. Coach Tara and Professor Carlos run an incredible school. They are patient, caring, and always willing to take the time to walk you through anything you’re struggling with. Both are extremely approachable and never make you feel uncomfortable for asking questions.
The atmosphere here is unmatched — the vibes are great, the music keeps the energy up, and the community is full of professors, coaches, and training partners who quickly become lifelong friends. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have years of experience, I can’t recommend this school enough.

Best class on planet earth

I started Jiu-jitsu Modern in September of 2022 with absolutely Zero experience in Grappling. Since then by working with Professor Carlos not only did he help boost my self confidence but by him teaching me Jiu-jitsu it has also help me better my self as a father by my son looking at me as a Super-Hero🦸‍♂️.

I just took my first NoGi class at Modern Jujitsu and it was a great experience. The instructors were friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable right away. It was a fun and challenging class, and I learned a lot even as a beginner. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Truly a special place. Did my research before joining a school, and my research brought me here, to be taught by Professor Carlos. Ive been nothing but impressed so far. I love it here and im hooked! From day one Carlos and the team have treated me like family. He knows EVERYONES name no matter if you joined yesterday or been training under him for years. Very good, very knowledgeable, truly impressive and motivating. 10/10 recommend! Dont wait !

Could not give enough praise to JJM. From the instructors to the students, everyone is welcoming and treats you like family. Awesome jiujitsu for all levels, the gym is huge and exceptionally clean. Couldn't be happier training here, thank you Carlos and company for everything you do!

Fantastic place. Great vibe from Professor Carlos to the warm welcoming from the students. The training mats are spacious and top notch Jiu Jitsu from the beginning of the class to the end. Highly recommend this school
